twenty-nine

Becca's P.O.V.

"3,2,1" he counts down for no apparent reason. We tip-toe past Mr. Smith but as we walk past his desk Matt bumps into his pencil holder and they all crash to the floor.

Mr. Smith's eyes flicker open and he looks at us and back at the clock. We make a run for the door.

"Hey come back here!" he shouts. Once we get out of the class we see policemen at the end of the hall and they spot us

"Shit" I mutter under my breath and run as if my life depended on it.

"Go get them!" We hear Mr. Smith yell down the hall and we chuckle. The policemen continue to chase us.

They can't arrest us for not going to detention. What the hell? As I was about to turn halls, Matt grabs me by the hand and pull me through the safety exit doors. Alarms go off

"MATT YOU DUMBASS" I bark and we run down the stairs .

"I've got this" he promises and pulls me out a door. We pace down the outside stairs and run to the parking lot.

"We lost them" Matt pants and I slow down and nod. "That was close" he says with a chuckle and I scowl at him.

We find his car and get out of the parking lot. "Where to?" I ask "Uhm is it okay if we go to Jacob's dad's house?" he asks and I nod.

I didn't spend a lot of time with Jacob but there's a first time for everything.

We arrive quickly because it's by the school in the rich kid neighborhood. I'm amazed; the house is even bigger than Matt's. I don't know much about houses but this must be a mansion.

Matt just walks in and I stare at him like he is crazy. "Come on" he assures and so I follow him inside.

"HEY JACOB MATT AND REBECCA ARE HERE!" I glower at him. He just yelled, in my ear. "BECCA" I correct and Jacob comes down the long spiraled stairs with three other boys following him.

"Hey guys" Jacob waves once he reaches the bottom of the stairs. I only recognize one of the three, and that's Carter.

The boys just sit around in the kitchen and eat while I play temple run on my phone to make time go by faster.

I recognize this boy on the end wearing a hat but I can't tell from where. I think he recognizes me too because he has been sending me smirks all day.

It's driving me insane. I want to figure it out by myself because he looks way to familiar.

The boy mouths something to me from across the table, but I can't quite make it out.

I think he said 'the peter of bob lecca'. I raise an eyebrow but just shake it off I probably heard him wrong.

"So Becca how is Shawn?" Jacob asks me.

"Dipshit" Matt huffs under his breath "What?" Jacob asked "They're done" Matt says and Jacob is quick to apologize. But I assure him its okay.

"Have you guys talked to your fans about magcon?" I ask just out of curiosity and they shake their heads. "Why not?" I ask

"Well urhm.... We were... sort of waiting for Shawn to tell you..." Carter trails off. I sigh

"Well I already know, tell your fans.... " "Now?" they ask and I nod

"Now ! like right now!" I laugh and they all just smile like they are truly happy.

The fans responses were amazing they all went crazy! These boys are going somewhere that's for sure.

"Now we just got to deal with Shawn...." Carter says "No he had so many opportunities to tell me and he didn't" I tell them and they just go with it

"So is Shawn like your boyfriend or something?" the boy who I still don't knows name asks and I look down avoiding eye contact and shake my head.

"Ex" I explain "You got a lot of those don't you?" he asks and I scrunch my face.

What's that suppose to mean? Everyone looks at us. I take a sip of water to put me at ease.

"Oh I forgot to introduce you guys" "Uhm becca you know Carter" Jacob says and points to him and I nod.

"This is Brent Rivera" Jacob introduces and the boy with shaggy hair smiles. He seems friendly.

"And the one down there is Logan, Logan Paul"
