Chapter 18 - The dreaded bridge

"Oh ok then, stay safe though," Sakura said before heading to her room.

'That dobe, he just wants to avoid haku right?' Sasuke thought worried for the blond.

The team took there positions. Naruto at home and the rest on the bridge.

The three on the bridge were on high alert, however, that couldn't be said to zoned out blond.

Naruto stared into the water off the side of a small dock. He looked at his wavering reflection aimlessly, staring into his own cerulean blue eyes.

'Someone's here,' naruto thought getting up from his spot. He walked out the door and headed to the direction he sensed irregular movement.

'Hm found them, two guys, most likely genin level,' naruto thought carefully analyzing his surroundings.

With stealth, naruto moved to a hidden location near the two thugs. They were still in the forest, heading to the house, perfect place for naruto.

Naruto quietly put his hands in the serpent seal. 'Mokuton'

Two trees grew behind the thugs successfully shocking the life out of the two inexperienced mercenaries.

'Genjutsu?' One of them thought, 'no, this has got to be real.'

Constant shouting was heard as naruto fastened the branches around the two thugs tying them to the newly sprouted trees.

"Phew, my first time growing trees, pretty fun I'd say." Naruto simply shrugged everything off before heading the the bridge.

With kakashi

A silent boat floated below the constructing bridge. Zabuza and haku looked up at the bridge with several workers working away. 'Let's take out the unguarded ones first,' both mist assassins thought.

"There here," kakashi said just above whispering volume.

The team went into formation, covering each others blind spots.

"Kirigakure no jutsu"

Thick mist came rolling in, limiting sight to only a meter. Three sharingans activated at once, two on the raven and one on the silver haired sensei.

'Water clones'

The clones were quickly dispelled courtesy of sasuke, but before they could make another move, sasuke shouted something unexpected.

"HAKU," sasuke shouted through the mist, "Naruto is hurt because of you, you hurt him, you at least owe him an apology."

Haku froze. Recalling the past events. He then quickly made a move to avoid any confrontation.

Sasuke caught his punch with both hands. Landing the two into a wrestling match. Haku was pushing on sasukes hands while sasuke stayed still standing his ground.

"You loose, I have two advantages," haku said stopping his pushing force, "there is water everywhere, and, you only have one of my hands restrained."

The raven was confused until haku made a series of one handed signs.

"One handed signs?' Kakashi surprisingly thought.

"Hijutsu: Makyō Hyōshō"

Perfectly angled mirrors surrounded sasuke, incasing him in a dome made of ice. There was no time to think though as a barrage of senbons came flying at him.
