Recap
Naruto's pov
An endless void. My mindscape, it was so dark. But more importantly, where is kurama?

I cried his name again but of no avail. The darkness kept enveloping me. I knelt down on the darkness, everything felt endless. Everything felt pointless.
———————————————————————————
I felt the darkness surround me, suffocating me, yet it was far away. I tried flaring chakra but nothing happened. I released a huge amount of chakra, yet nothing budged.

I stood up in the void and ran forward. There was no light, no end of the tunnel, it was all empty. I even tried exiting my mind scape but this dark energy stopped me.

What was happening?

Sasuke's pov

What on earth was that. Naruto's eyes turned black and red. They were wide open, but his body was still unmoving.

"Naruto?" I said in a questionable tone.

His chakra flared. I had to step back. Naruto's blue chakra surrounded his body. Wow he does have an enormous amount of chakra.

But before I could step back, a large wave of orange, evil intent chakra came flashing out. I managed to dodge most of it but a wave left a shallow slash on my arm.

His body looked so frail, it was shaking while giving off unnatural amounts of chakra. The white in his eyes replaced with black and the bright blue in his pupil turned red.

"Usuratonkachi," I cursed out as I grabbed a near by cloth to stop the bleeding from my arm.

I looked closely at his movements. They were slowing down. Naruto's arms fell down to the side of his torso and his face relaxed its hateful expression. But his hands, his fingers. They were moving slightly. Slightly up and open, like they were reaching out for something.

I don't know what made me do it but I avoided the remaining hovering chakra and rushed to his side. I knelt down beside the bed and grabbed his hand. My left hand still pressed tightly on my right bleeding arm.

"Dobe," I whispered bringing his hand up to my forehead.

Naruto's pov

A small shimmer, like a star far far away. It twinkled subtly. I rushed straight towards it. But it never came closer. My hand reached out to it, but it never came to my grasp.

Suddenly, the shimmer changed into a flow. A flow of water reflecting off some sort of light source. A flow of shimmering water.

Before I knew it that flow turned into a rushing waterfall. I couldn't get closer and I couldn't get further. It stayed still right in front of me no matter were I stepped.

The water gushing out was interrupted, by some sort of figure. The water clashed against the figures head, the figures pitch black head.

The mysterious figure looked up, red and black eyes met my blue, white orbs with a connection. A familiar sense of connection between our eyes.

"Are you me?" I managed to blurt out.

"So you, know," the much bigger version of me stated.
