Chapter 10 - Genin exams

Time skip 5 years
3rd person pov

"Alright class, your genin written exams will take place right before lunch and physical tests will be after lunch. So that's four hours of revision time!" Iruka explained with joy seeing his little academy students flourish, well most of them at least.

Naruto still keeping his mask up diligently stood up and shouted, "I will definitely pass y'know"

A few in the classroom sweat dropped, while sasuke and minata stared.

After that incident in the alleyway. Sasuke, minata and naruto has gotten closer. Sasuke and minata were currently the closest people in class to seeing naruto's true personality and skill.

'I'll drop the mask at the exams' thought naruto.

"As much as I enjoy seeing you goofing around and having fun with people your own age, it's time to drop the mask your going into the real world," kurama said encouraging naruto.

Naruto couldn't wait until free study period, he had been working on a interesting seal, one specifically for storing perfectly heated up ramen.

Overall, naruto really did appreciate Iruka, his lessons may have been boring but he taught everyone well. Currently, Iruka was in front of the class giving a revision quiz and last minute reminders.

"You will be tested on replacement jutsu, shuriken/kunai throwing, taijutsu and last but not least clone jutsu (bunshin no jutsu)"

Naruto shuttered at the last one. No matter how hard naruto tried, he just had way too much chakra to do a bunshin.

"What's wrong dead last" kiba sneered,"Can't do a simple bunshin?"

Naruto fumed, not just inwardly. He was going to drop his mask so why not.

"Hey kiba you should stop picking on people, you never know what people are capable of, you judge a book by its cover" minata snapped back, interrupting the fuming naruto.

Sakura and ino was about to agree with kiba as they both despised naruto for taking Sasuke's attention.

"I agree with minata." Sasuke simply said still facing the window.

Ino still shouted at naruto, saying how kiba may be right. Sakura just stayed quite staring at sasuke, at first glance Sakura was just another fangirl staring at her crush creepily however this was not the case.

'Geeze why protect that idiot' Sakura inwardly scoffed. That's when the pink banshee's mind traces back to her red haired friends words.

'Does minata know something I don't? More importantly is naruto hiding something?' Sakura thought. 'Whatever it is I deserve to know, I am higher ranking than naruto, my parents are in the council so that idiot can't hide anything from me' Sakura thought.

Sakura had mumbled her last though out in a volume inaudible to the class however naruto's keen fox ears picked up on the sound.
