Travis's pov.

Once we get back to camp, we join the other campers by the fire. We sit by some of Katie's friends and I take her hand. Conner smirks at me from across the fire and moves over by us. Chiron rolls over to the fire in his wheelchair and announces, "campers, please settle down." Suddenly everyone stops talking. "thank you. There will not be any marshmallows tonight because they disappeared." He exaggerates the word disappears, but as a child of Hermes I can tell that by the glint in his eyes, he knows where they are. Everyone looks at Conner and I. "hey! It wasn't me." I say throwing my hands in the air. A few campers mutter in disagreement as Chiron rolls back to his spot.

Will Solace starts playing his guitar to lighten the mood and some Apollo kids sing along. In a couple of minutes, the magical fire is golden and growing. I lean over and whisper into Conner's ear. "Katie and I made it official." He smiles at me.

After the campfire everyone is exhausted from singing and dancing. I walk Katie back to her cabin and kiss her goodnight. Then I go back to mine and I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow...

I wake and for once in a long time, I had a dreamless sleep. I look around me and I see that everyone in my cabin is still asleep, which means no morning bell went off, which only means one thing. It's the start of camp half-blood's 'Christmas break.' Which is basically a week off all training, classes, chores, etc. Suddenly Katie peeks her head into my cabin with a huge smile on her face. She's wearing a coat and a hat, and her cheeks are rosy. "come on!" she whispers to me.

I get ready and then follow her outside to find a winter wonderland. White snow covers the ground and icicles hang off the cabins. There are campers having snowball fights, building snow-families, and playing god of the hill on the new mountain of snow by the Big House. Katie and I walk over to the dining pavilion and get hot chocolates. Then we go sit on the benches by the amphitheater, where the Apollo kids are putting on a winter play. Katie takes my hand and smiles at me. "I've never had a Christmas at camp." She tells me. "It's pretty awesome. You'll see." I say and smile back.
