The Road Trip (Colby Brock)

Chapter 5

After breakfast Kat asked what I was doing today but I didn't have any plans so we planned a movie day. Well, until I saw my favorite video game and almost screamed. I grabbed it and ran to find Sam in the garage with the guys. "Hi guys sorry, SAM is there a PS2 here anywhere?" I asked handing him the Kingdom Hearts case. He shook his head laughing and showed it to mystery guy "Look Colby, you have a game buddy." So his name is Colby. Colby just rolled his eyes and went back to his phone. "Who pissed in your cornflakes?" I said without realizing it. He looked up at me from his phone and then to Sam. "Tell me again why she's here." "Could you two stop, please? Colby you're my best friend and she's my sister, could you please try to get along?" he just rolled his eyes. I walked back inside forgetting the game. What did I ever do him? Kat must've noticed something was bothering me because she told me to sit, patting the couch next to her "Spill it." So I told her about Colby being an asshole for no reason and she just smiled at me. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?" she giggled. "You like him don't you?" "No, that's not even funny. He pisses me off" she just shook her head and giggled again. I sighed and we watched movies for a few hours.

I woke up Sam talking to someone on the couch next to me but I was too tired to care so I went back to sleep.

As I turned away I heard my dad cry out in pain. When I turned to see if he was okay, he was on the ground and my mom yelled "Call 911 and tell them you need an ambulance!" I called 911 and the ambulance was here within thirty minutes and dad was off to the hospital. Mom ran to the car leaving me behind. I called Sam.

It was dark outside when I woke up again so I decided to go for a walk. I got up quietly and went to my room to get my phone and earbuds. On the way out, I ran into Colby...again. This time he didn't have a shirt on and his dark blue hair was messy. He was kinda hot. Nope, stop it right now. "What are you doing up this late, go to sleep" he said, his voice was rough making him ten times more attractive. Damn it, you don't like him y/n, he's an asshole remember. "I'm going on a walk." I rushed down the stairs and slipped out the front door. It was freezing so I went back to get my jacket but the door was locked. Great. I called Sam but he didn't answer so I knocked on the door. No answer. I walked around to what I hoped was Colby's window and threw a little pebble I found on the ground. I waited a few seconds and was about to throw another when the window opened and Colby stuck his head out. "What the fuck do you want? I'm trying to sleep." "Yea cool, can you unlock the front door? I'm locked out." he laughed, stuck his head back in the window with a quick "no" before shutting it back. Fuck you Colby.
