"Do you know where we're going first?" I asked kind of annoyed that Sam was making us do this. Colby just looked at me and laughed through his nose, "Does that mean I have to wait and see?" "Sure does, buckle up we have a 4 hour drive so get comfortable."

About half way through the ride I was tired of the quiet and I was getting uncomfortable. "Colby can I ask you something?" "You just did" he said smiling "You know what I meant" "Shoot" "Okay, why do you seem to hate me?" "I don't hate you" really? Why are men so confusing? "Oh really? You sure have a weird way of showing it." "Can I explain later?" he sounded more like he was begging so I dropped it. "I'm hungry, how much longer until we get there?" we had passed a few fast food places and each one made me hungrier. "We still have an hour and a half, you wanna stop somewhere?" "Just go to a gas station, I'll get something in there and you can get gas. Don't leave me in there though" I said jokingly but I was serious, he was being too nice so I figured he was up to something. "I'm not gunna leave you, Sam would kill me. I was actually scared you would leave me" he laughed. We pulled into a Shell on the side of the highway and I went inside to get snacks. I got me and Colby energy drinks and bags of chips, I don't know what he likes so he's stuck with Bang and Doritos. I paid for everything and went back to the car except it wasn't there. Damn it Colby, you said you wouldn't leave me. I don't even have his number, shit. Someone honked their car horn but I didn't pay attention because I was trying to call Sam. Then they layed on the horn so I looked to see Colby grinning at me, I assumed he was laughing at me so I flipped him off and got in the car. "You asshole I thought you left. Here take your stupid snacks" "I had to go to the pump around the back, these weren't working I didn't leave. Thanks" I opened the tab on my drink and started eating my doritos. We had an hour left to drive so Colby finally decided to turn the radio on. It was a random station but I wasn't really paying attention. I watched the cars drive by for a while until we passed a "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign. "We're staying in Vegas?! I've never been here before." "It's fun, maybe we could walk around for a while and explore" "Well duh, I don't wanna be stuck in a hotel room all day" he just laughed and said we would be there in 15 minutes and I was actually excited. I looked over at Colby and smiled, "What?" he said smiling "Nothing, you just confuse me" "How so?" "Well, you're an asshole for two days then you're not. It's like a switch flipped." Don't get me wrong, I liked him a lot more now that he wasn't an ass but I was confused. "I'll explain when we get to there, okay?" I just nodded and waited.

We pulled into the parking lot of a huge hotel. "Fancy" "Holy shit, this place is huge" I couldn't hide my excitement as I stared up in amazement "Let's go check in then we'll get our stuff" I agreed and we walked inside. It was even bigger on the inside. The floors were marble and the walls were an antique white color with gold accents everywhere. The ceiling was super high with a huge chandelier hanging down. "Wow" I whispered as we walked closer to the front desk. "Good afternoon, how may I help you?" the man at the front desk was wearing a black and white tuxedo with his hair slicked back, he had one of those mustaches that curled up at the ends. "Check in for Colby Brock." "Ah Mr.Brock here you are, here's your key. Enjoy your stay and have a lovely afternoon." "Thank you, have a nice day" I said as we turned around. "He had a funny mustache" I said laughing as we walked back to the car "I wanted to twist it, it was hard but I kept my hand in my pocket" he said dramatically. He opened the trunk and got our bags out, then carried them inside. We got in the elevator and he pressed the number 12, top floor. I never noticed how handsome he actually was. The purple in his hair made his eyes look even more blue, when he smiled it spread across his face and showed his dimples. I didn't realize I was staring until he broke the silence. "Like what you see sweetheart?" cocky much? "Nah not really" "Ouch, that really hurt me" we both laughed as we reached the top floor and the elevator opened to let us off. We went down the hall until he found our room and slid the key card through the knob and opened the door.
