Chapter 25

( Colby's POV )

I can't wait to ask her, but I want it to be special so I'm gunna have to wait. She had taken a nap on my shoulder but she was awake now. "Good morning sunshine" I said laughing, she sat up and stretched "We better go before we miss the sunset, I wanna take pictures" "Lemme get the blanket" I got up and grabbed the blanket and checked my phone. I had a text from Sam and one from Kat.

sam: good luck brother, take care of her

kat: sam told me, you better not hurt her mister or i swear ill run you over with a bus, and then a train. ok good luck :)

I texted them back and put my phone in my pocket. "Ready?" she nodded smiling. We got in the car and we made it right before the sun started going down. We set the blanket out and sat down for a minute, she leaned over and put her head on my shoulder and I grabbed her hand. A few minutes later the sun started setting. "I'm sorry about how I treated yo-" "It's okay, I understand why you did it. You've changed and proven that you truly are sorry, you don't need to apologise." she cut me off. I just smiled at this amazing, caring, beautiful person sitting with me. "Can I ask you something?" "You just did" she said mocking me. "Haha very funny" "Go ahead" "I know we've only known eachother since last Friday but I think we've gotten pretty closer over the last four days," she looked up me and I almost got lost in her eyes forgetting what I was saying. "When I'm with you, nothing feels fake or forced and I don't have to put up a front, I can be myself. I feel at home when I'm with you and I've never felt that with anyone else." she looked like she was about to cry so I hugged her "what's wrong?" I asked quietly but loud enough for her to hear. "nothing, no one's ever said anything like that to me and if this is going where i think its going, these are happy tears" she replied quietly. "Well then y/n, will you be my girlfriend?" she looked at me wide eyed and grinning, she nodded excitedly. "I would love t-" I connected our lips cutting her off and I swear it felt like the melted. I pulled back "to" she finished laughing. Her happy expression slowly faded to a slightly worried one. "What about Sam?" "I asked him yesterday when I went to get my hoodie out of the car, I wanted to ask him but I didn't want you to hear so it would be a surprise." She scooted closer and leaned into my side, we stayed like that until the sun finished going down. "You wanna stay and watch the stars for a little while or go back to the cabin" "Stay, I don't want this to be over just yet." I kissed the side of her head and we watched the stars for a little while longer. She was finally mine and I was hers. Hell, I was hers when I first saw her even if I didn't know it then. Her eyes captivated me every time I looked in them, her smile could light up the darkest room and her laugh was like music. I looked up at the sky thanking God for putting her in my life.

We were out there for three hours laying on the blanket staring at the stars and pointing out constellations we could see and making up random ones. I didn't want to be anywhere else with anyone else. We got back to the cabin and y/n headed to the bed. She was out before she even touched the pillow. I changed into a pair of joggers, took my shirt off and crawled in beside her. Even though she was half asleep, she found her way over to my side. I kissed her forehead and wrapped my arm around her "goodnight princess" I whispered before drifting off.

I woke up and she wasn't beside me. I sat up and heard the shower running so I laid back down and took a nap. Less that five minutes later the door opened and she stopped beside the bed. "colby" she whispered, I'm not getting up that easy. "colbyyyy" she said dragging out the y. She kissed my forehead and walked off mumbling something then laughing. I thought I won, then she dumped a cup of cold water on me. "What the fuck?" she was currently laughing on the ground. "You wouldn't wake up" she said trying to catch her breath. "So you wanna play like that?" Her eyes got wide and she shot up off the ground, I stepped closer to her and she took a step back. I grabbed her by the waist tickled her. "Wait, wait...stop" she said between breaths "Colbyyyy stoppp" "Why?" "Because it tickles, I'm sorryy about the water" "That's the point. The water was okay, I live with a bunch of dudes that used to prank eachother all the time" I said letting her go "One time Elton, our old roommate, super glued a pink wig to my head because me and Sam dyed his dog hot pink" "How'd you get it off? I'm glad I didn't live with you guys then" she said laughing "Nail polish remover" she walked over and ran her hand through my hair "Is your head okay?" "Yea, it was a few years ago, I've had a lot of haircuts since then." She dropped her hand and hugged my torso before looking up at me. I kissed her nose and she scrunched her face and giggled. "We have to leave today, what time it?" she looked at the clock beside the bed "Uh...10:38" "I'm not sure where we're going so I don't know when to leave." "That's because Sam told me this time, I'm driving."
