Chapter 36

"I'll be right back guys don't let the driver leave without me" I told them as I headed to the bathroom. "We'll try, call me when you're out and I'll tell you where to go." I nodded and made my way though the crowd of people eventually finding the bathroom. I got done and found a small food court so I bought chic-fil-a. "shit" I whispered to myself realizing I was lost. I found a bench and sat down pulling my phone out to facetime Colby. "Hey princess" he said smiling "I'm lost, don't laugh at me or you're not getting food." He muted himself and said something to Sam, and I watched as both of them laughed their asses off. "More food for me" I said taking a bite if the chicken sandwich I got him "Babe I'm sorry but we're literally right in front of you, look out the door" I felt my face heat up as I looked to see Sam and Colby waving and laughing at me in front of our Uber. I hung up and hurried outside "shut up, that didn't happen." I said quietly "Sure, whatever you say" Sam said laughing. We got in the car and I ate their food. "I didn't think you were serious," Colby said almost whining "Aww does the poor baby want a chicken nugget?" I asked mocking him as he nodded "Too bad." I said as i popped the last nugget in my mouth and laughed.

The uber dropped us off at the house and got our bags out of the trunk. Sam walked ahead of us and grabbed the door for Colby. "Cole Robert Brock we need to have a talk." Kat said walking out of the kitchen "Take it easy on him, don't go for the ribs," I said trying to hold in my laugh "I just wanna talk," she said cracking her knuckles "Uh oh" Colby said hiding behind me as Kat walked closer. Before I could move from in front of Colby he took off running as Kat chased him into the kitchen and around the island. "Kat, maybe later? My ankle is messed up too," "More than just your ankle is gonna be in pain Colby." While me and Sam were trying not to die of laughter Corey chimed in. "Brother, I'm sorry but I agree with Kat on this one." he said as he went on the other side so Colby was cornered. "The only other person you're supposed to kiss is me, so my feelings are hurt too." He said as they started walking closer to Colby, Colby just sat on the floor "Hold on let me breathe for a second before I die," "Hmmmm, okay. One, times up" Corey and Kat grabbed Colby and pulled him through the back door. I felt bad, but not bad enough to stop them. Sam grabbed his camera and started recording as Colby was thrown into the pool. It was the week before Christmas so I could only imagine how cold the water was. He came up from under the water but couldn't get out if the pool "Um, little help please," he said looking at me "Hang on," I said setting my bag down and walking over to where Colby was. He grabbed my hand and smirked "Colby do-" I was pulled into the pool. "What did I do?!?" "You looked a little hot, I thought you needed to cool off" he said hugging me. "asshole" I said quietly walking over to the stairs and running inside to the heat. "I'm gonna take a shower." I said running up to Colby's room and stealing a new hoodie, then getting clothes from my room. I walked to the bathroom, turned the hot water on and got in.

After my shower I walked back downstairs and everyone was in the garage. Kevin was hiding in front of the island. "What are you-" "shhhh they don't know i'm here," "i do now, how did you get in?" "front door was unlocked, that boyfriend of yours is a headass," "what exactly are you doing?" "seeing how far i can go without getting caught," "you failed," "you don't count," "i live here but okay." I said laughing "have fun i guess." I said quietly before walking outside and sitting with Colby on the bean bag. "Hey," "Hi." I said as he pulled me onto his lap and rested his head in the crook of mt neck. "This is strange," Jake said motioning towards me and Colby "What brother?" Colby asked wrappi his arms around my waist "Seeing you with a female." he replied laughing "You know what else is weird?" Colby said in a childish voice. "What," "Your face." Everyone started laughing. We sat around and talked for a while until we started getting tired. "Alright guys I'm gonna head to bed." Sam said getting up with Kat. The door busted open and Kevin yelled "I'VE BEEN THROUGH YOUR HOUSE AND NO ONE EVEN KNEW," "I knew Kevin," "Shut up headass you don't count," he said laughing "Kevin I knew you were here I just didn't wanna ruin your fun," Sam said laughing and patting his shoulder "Oh." We all laughed and Kevin left while everyone went to their rooms. Me and Colby walked upstairs and stopped at the end of the hall. "I love you goofball," "And I love you goofier ball." He turned to open his door but stopped and turned around, "You coming?" He asked stepping out of the way. I didn't answer, I just ran to his bed and practically jumped in. He laughed and crawled in his side. I snuggled closer and he snaked his arms around my waist. I fell asleep shortly after I heard his breathing slow down and even out. "i love you." I whispered before fully drifting off.
