The little Mermaid and her prince

Chapter 10

Ariel slept for a couple of hours. Eric then gently shakes her attempting to wake her. "Ariel darling. It's time to wake up." Eric kindly says. Ariel starts to stir. "Come on baby. It's time to wake up." Ariel groans. "Come on baby. It's time to get up and go to the village." Eric says. Ariel turns over and opens her eyes slowly. "There is my beautiful wife." Eric says as he caressed her cheek. She grabs a hold of his hand. "It's time to get up darling." He says. "But the bed is so comfy." She says as she curls up. "Yes but don't you want to meet more people?" Eric asked as he sits up. Ariel lights up. "Oh yeah. I completely forgot." Ariel jumps up from the bed and stands on her feet. Eric was shocked by this. He could barely get her up one minute ago and then she literally jumps out of bed. "Wow! Well at least I know how to wake you up now." He said with a chuckle. Ariel giggles. Ariel then goes to the bathroom to freshen up. She brushed her long red hair. Eric watched her as she did this. After a few minutes, they were both ready to go. They leave the house and start to head towards the village. Ariel was fascinated by all the different trees and flowers their were. Eric was pretty interested himself. They had different kinds of flowers in his kingdom but none like these. These were tropical flowers and they were all very unique. As they enter the village, Moana greets them. "Ah! Ariel! Eric! I'm so glad you could join us." Moana says as she hugs them both. Her parents walk by and Moana stops them. "Mom! Dad! Do you have a minute?" Moana asked. They stopped and walked over to their daughter. "Mom, Dad, I would like you to meet Prince Eric and his beautiful wife Ariel." Moana says. "Oh my. It's very nice to meet you. I don't believe I've ever met royalty before." Chief Tui said as he shook their hands. "Well, I'm just a Prince on his honeymoon. And no need for Prince Eric. Just Eric is fine." Eric replied. "Mom, Dad, Ariel was a mermaid." Moana brags. Sina looks at her. "Wow! Really?" Sina asked. Ariel smiled and nods. "Yes. I was born a mermaid but recently I fell in love with Eric and became human to be with him." Ariel replied as she hung on to Eric's arm. "Oh wow! That is so romantic." Sina exclaimed. Ariel nodded. Moana nods. "Mom, Dad, I invited Ariel and Eric to the feast tonight." Moana told her parents. "Oh wonderful. We are very glad you can join us." Sina says. Then suddenly a giant hawk appeared in the sky and squawked. Everyone looked up in the sky. Moana got excited. She started to wave. It was her friend, Maui. The hawk smiled and swooped down. Once he hits the ground he shape shifts into his human form. Ariel shrieked and jumped behind her husband. Eric chuckled. "Maui!" Moana exclaimed as she jumps and hugs him. "Hey Princess." He says as he hugs her as well. Moana pulled out of the hug and smiled. Then looked over to Ariel to introduce them to Maui. "Oh Ariel. It's ok. This is my friend I told you about. This is Maui demigod of the wind and sea." She says as she tries to get Ariel to come out of hiding. She peeks over Eric's shoulder. Eric looks over at her. "Come on sweetie, it's alright. He's not going to hurt us." Eric says. Ariel then steps out from behind Eric. She was very surprised at how big Maui was. He was taller than Eric. She was also surprised at all the strange markings all over his body. "Hi there, it's nice to meet you." Maui said. Ariel waved shyly. "I'm sorry, she is a little shy and doesn't know a lot about humans yet. She was a mermaid and just recently became human." Eric explained. "It's alright I understand, it's not everyday you meet a demigod." Maui says as he flexed his muscles and flashed a cheesey smile. Moana rolled her eyes. Ariel walks slowly over to him and examines his arms. "Oh she has never seen a tattoo before." Eric points out. "Oh well here take a look at this one. This is is really cool." He says as he points to his back. Ariel looks and touches his back. "Wow it's built in to your skin." Ariel exclaimed. Everyone giggled. Eric walks over to his wife. "I'll explain it all to you later ok?" Eric asked. Ariel smiled and nodded. "Alright now that everyone is here let's eat." Chief Tui said. Everyone agreed and they all went to eat. The whole village ate and then some of the village women start to perform a cultural dance. Ariel was in awe by all the grass skirts and flowers and the special dance they performed. After a while they invited Ariel and Eric up on stage to learn. Ariel was having a blast. Eric was having trouble with it but was having fun too. He loved to see the smile on Ariel's face. He loved her so much. After a while, the dancing was over. Ariel and Eric went back to their seats. Moana then got up on stage and started to tell the story of how she sailed across the sea and found Maui and restored the heart of Tefiti. Ariel was fascinated. Once Moana was done telling her story. She asked Ariel and Eric to come up. The couple walked back up to the stage. "Everyone, This is Prince Eric and Princess Ariel. Ariel told me that she was a mermaid. Would you like to hear the story?" Moana asked her people. The people cheered. Ariel blushes. "Ok well how about I start the story and you take over ok?" Eric asks. "Well, alright." Ariel agrees. "Alright. Well it started with me and how my kingdom is pushing me to get married." Eric tells the people. The whole village had their whole attention the whole time. Eric continues the story and then it was Ariel's turn. "Well, I was born a mermaid." Ariel told them how the merpeople  were forbidden to go to the surface and see the human world and how she did anyway. "And there was a ship. I followed it and that was where I saw Prince Eric. They were having a birthday party for him, but then the ship caught on fire." She explained. The crowd gasped. Ariel told them how she saved Eric's life and how when her father found out how furious he was. "And then he destroyed all of my human things. So then I decided to go behind his back and see the evil sea witch and she tricked me into trading my voice for a pair of legs." Ariel continues. She tells them the rest of the story of how she met Eric and they spent the three days together. "And then Eric steered the ship right into Ursula and killed her and then Eric and I got married and here we are." Ariel said. The people cheered. "Wow! What a story. Thank you guys for sharing your story." Moana said as Ariel and Eric went back to their seats. Then Maui told his latest story about his latest adventure. Ariel was getting tired and leaned up against Eric. "Hey gorgeous are you alright?" He asked as he brushed her bangs out of her face. "Yes I'm alright."  Ariel replied with a smile. Eric pulls her close. After Maui finished his story, everyone started to go back home. Ariel was falling asleep. "Alright, darling, let's go back to our house." Eric says as he picks her up and carried her back to the house. She curls up in his arms. When they arrived at their little house, Eric carried her in the house and shut the door. Ariel then opened her eyes. Eric lies her down on the bed. Eric starts to get ready for bed. "Thank you Eric." She says. "For what?" He asked as he put his pajamas on. "For being a great husband. And for carrying me home." Ariel says. "Oh Ariel, it was my pleasure." Eric says as he gets into the bed with her. He picks her up and puts her underneath the covers. Ariel smiles and kisses him. He kisses her back. They find themselves playing tug of war with their lips. Eric pulls out of the kiss and stared at her. Ariel blushes. "What is it?" She asks as she starts to sit up. He places a hand on her small chest and pushes her back down. "I just love looking at you. You are so beautiful." He says as he stares her in the eye. Ariel giggles and blushes again. Eric was so lost in her beauty, he just stayed in that position for a long time. Ariel then started to get worried. "Eric?" She says as she touches his face. He didn't move. Ariel  started to shake him. "Eric!" She yelled. Eric snapped out of it and saw Ariel in panic. "Woah. Ariel! Are you ok?" Eric asked as he held her shoulders firmly. "Oh Eric. I was getting worried. You wouldn't move, or talk. Are you ok? Did Morgana put a spell on you?" Ariel asked in panic. "Oh sorry Sweetheart. I go so caught up in you beauty I guess I just blocked everything else out." Eric replied. "Oh Eric I'm so glad. You scared me." She says as she clings to her husband in tears. "Shhhh..... It's alright. I'm sorry I scared you." Eric says as he lifts her chin up and wipes her tears away. "Shhhh..... Now let's get under the covers and you can cuddle with me. Would that make you feel better?" He asked his wife. Ariel sniffles and nods. Eric kisses her head and puts her underneath the covers and then slips under the covers right next to her. Ariel immediately clings to her husband. Eric laughs and kiss her head once more. "My poor Ariel is scared to death." He thinks to himself. "I love you Ariel. Nothing with every change that." Eric tells her. Ariel finally relaxed. "I love you too Eric." She says as she listens to his heart beat. Ariel then closed her eyes and falls asleep.
