Chapter 27
I had one month of school left and had lots of finals to study for. I had to go to all Amanda's professors and get all her assignments in case she woke up. I hated going because somewhere deep inside me told me she wasn't going to wake up. I called Niall way too much asking about Amanda and every time I did, she was the same. Never changing. Niall said Harry was getting better, not as depressed but still had his moments of grief. Amanda's mom was still in London and I doubt she was going to leave her daughter.
The boys had a world tour coming up this summer and I had nothing going on in the summer so I'd be joining them along the way once they get to Amercia. I really was looking forward to it but not having Amanda with me was making me dread it. This started as a magical adventure and now it has turned to a nightmare.
I was studying for a final when my phone rang. The caller I.D. said Niall and I thought he was just calling to check in.
"Hey babe," I said getting up from my desk.
"AVIA AVIA!! Amanda! She's smiled today! Harry and I were in her room just sitting there talking and I looked over and she was smiling! I saw it! I told the doctor right away and he said she might be slowly regaining consceness!" he yelled into the phone at me.
I started jumping up and down and dancing around like a fool. "You're serious? I can't - Oh my Niall. This is amazing," I said in shock. She was getting better. I couldn't believe it.
"Yeah, I know! I think Harry was crying tears of happiness earlier! I really hope she's getting better."
"Me too, Niall, me too. I miss her so much, you think I could come visit before you guys go on tour?" I asked hoping for a yes.
"Yeah, why not?" he replied. "Maybe she'll be talking by the time you get here!"
I laughed. For that moment I was happy and hopeful. Amanda might be coming back to us instead of laying helpless in a bed. I wanted to just see her. Her eyes move around. Hear her voice at least.
----------------------------
My finals were finally done and I was packing for London. I packed as much as I could and then went into Amanda's stuff. Nothing new happened with her. She only smiled that once. I was feeling defeated. I knew Harry was miserable. I knew it was effecting his career too. I opened up Amanda's top drawer and picked up her pajama pants and found a worn old book under them. I picked it up and slid my hand over it. I sat down on my bed and opened the first page. It was a diary. Amanda's. I didn't even know she kept one. I thought I shouldn't read through it but I went to the last entry.
She wrote about Harry last. The night we saw him in the stairwell. I smiled remembering that moment. He's never even said anything about it to me since. That was the last thing she wrote. I wondered why. I thought for a while until I realized I had to leave. I through the diary in my purse and headed outside to get a taxi to the airport.
A VERY SHORT chapter sorry. Again, thank you for reading. I know this is a horrible fanfic but yeah I like to write and this a great way to. It will have an ending... Not sure if it'll be happy or sad yet. Thanks. Keep reading on!!
