Chapter 25 - Saying Goodbye

Chapter 25

It was Tuesday, and my day to leave. My flight was at 10 am. I didn't want to. Niall had to drag me out of his bed and get ready.

"C'mon Avia, you have to get ready. We have to leave in an hour to go to the airport, stop being impossible," Niall said dragged my legs off the bed.

"But I don't want to leave! Niall, no!" I screamed as he pulled me over his shoulder and into the bathroom. I was trying to tickle him to get him to put me down but it wasn't working at all.

"You smell, stinky butt! You need a shower!" Niall joked with me. I tried to hit him and stop him from putting me in the shower but I couldn't. He set me on the floor of the shower and turned the water on.

"No!! I have clothes on!" I yelled.

"Yeah mine!" he said as he tried to pull my shirt off.

"Get away butt face!" I screamed as I pushed him away laughing.

"Hurry up!" Niall said as he walked out the door.

I took my shower and got dressed. I packed my stuff and through on skinny jeans and fleece zip up. Niall came behind me as I was zipping my suitcase and wrapped his arms around my waist and put his head on my shoulder.

He kissed my neck. "I'm really going to miss you, a lot. Even though this week has been hard with Amanda, I sill enjoyed having you here. Amanda's mom is staying with Harry so don't worry about her like you do."

"I just don't wanna not be here if Amanda does wake up.... Or if she doesn't wake up at..." I said before Niall turned around in front of me and stopped my words with his lips. He kissed me slow but strong. I didn't want to part from his lips. After a while he pulled back and put him forehead on mine. I closed my eyes.

"Why do I have to go?" I said.

"Absence makes the heart grow fonder," he replied pecking at my nose with his lips.

"I don't know how you expect me to leave you when you do things like that," I said biting my lip.

Niall and I arrived at the hospital before the airport. I went into Amanda's room and as my her side. I kissed her forehead. "Hey Am. I have to leave soon. Go back to college. I don't want to leave you. I don't know if you can hear me but I love you. It's gonna be hard without you. Who am I suppose to hang out with?" I said laughing to myself realizing I didn't have many friends. "Harry will be all the time. And the rest of the boys. They'll take care of you I promise. And your mom is here. I don't know for how long but she'll be here. I wish you could be with me... I love you Amanda. I will see you soon I promise. You'll wake up I know it. Goodbye."

I got up. I stared down at her for a while. Her face paler than ever. Her light brown hair getting darker from being inside so long. I picked up her hand and held it. It was ice cold. I started crying, not being able to hold it back anymore. I let go of her hand and walked out biting the inside of my cheeks to make the tears stop. Niall realized I was not going to be okay. He got up from his seat and ran over to me. He hugged me tightly and I felt protected. I tried not to let all the tears fall.

"Shhh, baby, you'll be okay." Niall pulled back and put my face in his hands. "You're so pretty when you cry babe, but I don't like when you cry."

I sniffed my nose and nodded my head. Niall wiped my eyes and kissed the top of my head. "Go say your goodbyes to the lads. They're in the waiting room." Niall let go on me and followed behind me.

I hugged each boy, Liam, Louis, Harry, and Zayn. I said my goodbyes. They all looked quite sad and I told them they better take care of my best friend. They all agreed they would and Niall and I left.

Paul was in the parking lot blocking the paparazzi. He rushed us into a black van. A lot of fans were at the airport and were pretty calm. I wiped my red eyes and waved to them. Niall took a few pictures and we went over to the gate. Paul held back and Niall walked me over to go to security. We lingered through our goodbye. I didn't want to leave and Niall didn't want me to be sad. He pecked my lips and gave me on of his infamous hugs. He buried his head in my neck. I heard the intercom say the flight would be leaning in 5. I pulled away and stood on my tippy toes and kissed Niall's cheek. I knew people were staring an staking pictures but I honestly didn't care anymore.

"Go," Niall said slightly pushing me away. I frowned.

"I love you," I said hugging him for one last time. "I love you more," he whispered into my ear.

I walked over to security and didn't look back. I couldn't look at his face without tearing up again. The security guard was nice and I got through fine. I stepped on the plane touching the outside of it before I completely entered. An old tradition. I took my seat and waited. I put my headphones in to drown out the world. I leaned my head back and closed my eyes, ready to escape this nightmare of my life.
