Chapter 3
Amanda and I walked through the snow covered sidewalks to the closet outlet mall. We went into Old Navy first and I got a navy blue dress with tan polka dots. I had a brown sweater at my dorm that would go perfectly. Amanda got a flowery scarf and we checked out.
We walked around for hours trying to find Amanda something to wear but she just couldn't decide on anything.
"Amanda, come on. Let's go back to our dorm. I'm so tired," I said to her.
"Fine," she said looking pissed as ever.
"I'm sorry. No we can stay."
"No let's go. Im tired too."
We walked back to the dorms in silence. I didn't know what to say to her and I'm guessing she didn't want to talk.
I finally gathered up the courage to ask her what's wrong.
"Harry's not gonna like me. I mean he just smiled at you. He didn't even look at me." She looked like she was gonna cry. I sat on her bed and held her in my arms.
"I wouldn't want him anyways. He's yours," I said. "He likes you don't worry! What's not to like? You're beautiful and smart and amazing!"
She smiled and it was a perfect moment. I got up and went in the back of my closet and got my blue sparkly dress. I handed it to her.
"Wear this."
"But I've never seen this before! It's beautiful!" She smiled and hugged me.
"Girl, it's almost 5. We have to leave in 3 hours!" I said. I ran into the bathroom looked at my hair and frowned. Yes, the curly was fabulous.
I plugged the curler in and started with my make up. I decided sparkles would be the best considering it being dark and the bright stage lights. I can't believe how excited I was!
"Av, you almost ready?" Amanda asked as she walked in the bathroom. She looked flawless. Her hair was perfectly curled and the blue dress was perfect.
"Yeah let me get dressed and we can go! It's almost 7. We might as well leave early!" I said as I was walking out the door. Amanda nodded her head and put her make up on. It's not like she needs any, she was gorgeous.
I threw on my navy blue dress and brown sweater. I felt so beautiful fur once, I couldn't believe it.
"We look fabulous! All the boys will be drooling over us for sure!" Amanda said. I laughed and grabbed my red purse.
We started walking out the door and to the hockey stadium. The concert would be in there.
