Bright Future: An Overflash Story

Chapter 31

It was two days since Barry was told about Overgirl state and her solar flare situation. In all this time he never leave her side, he always stay in the little couch of the room and also just leave to get something to eat and later he came back to continue watching his girlfriend's condition.

Alex also kept close to Barry incase anything happened, she saw worry and desperation in his eyes, he barely had sleep hours in the DEO. Other situation that was happening is that Kara (D) was not seen this two days and again Alex was worried for her sister. Of course it wasn't her fault as the Redk impulse her to say and do that horrible things. She couldn't faced Barry after how she confessed to him her feelings, she being so possesive and crazy for him and how she describe love. Also telling him that she had always loved him and that she lied back in the reheasal dinner months ago. All the harsh and awful words she told Overgirl and how she fight her leaving her all injured and in pain.

Seeing Barry all sad and injured after he was in the middle of the fight was something that killed her on the inside, the way Barry reacted at how he knew about her feelings, he was hurt for being lied all of this time. Kara (D) right now didn't forgive herself, this was worse than the last time, this involve her friends and the man she was deeply in love. Now Kara (D) was in her apartment with a bottle of ice cream eating in her couch watching TV while tears were falling all over her face, Alex try to get through her but she couldn't, she was keeping the idea that everyone and of course Barry will never forgive her for what she did.

Mon-El and Winn were also in the DEO giving Barry company like all this time since he arrived to their Earth for help with Kara (D). J'onn also took a chance to keep an eye on Barry since they knew about his ability to time travel and they wanted to keep him in bay before he completely loses himself and make a huge mistake like Flashpoint timeline two years ago.

Barry was now in his girlfriend's room watching her from the couch giving her all the attention, he was now getting impatient, seeing her like this was worse than the memories of her mom and dad's deaths and even both events were tragic. He then put his hands on his hair caressing it in desperation, for him a second was long enough for a speedster to get bored or anxious, so imagine two days watching Kara (O) completely uncounscious, injured and healing like a human, she could be here for weeks even a whole month like this. 

He couldn't take anymore and inmediately started thinking for a way to help her heal faster cause the solar lamps were not working on her. For ten minutes he was walking from one side to another anxiously with his head down and determination on his eyes, after all this he remember something some days ago, his eyes widened and inmediately move to closer to Kara (O) and took her hand, he breath deeply and relaxed the most he could and slowly lightining started to appear on his right arm and move into Kara's hand and then it move towards her whole body.

For the next ten seconds he stood like this and later he left her hand and open his eyes and just waited for the best and hopes that the solution he thought worked, Barry also prayed to the speedforce that this could work just to see his girl okay, see her smile, being able to hold her in his arms, to kiss those lips he loves and to tell her how much he loves her. 

"I hope this works out my love, I'm here and I'll never leave you until I see that you're okay, I will wait for you, I love you" Barry said to her holding again her hand slightly and some tears fall from his eyes, then he walked to the couch and took a sit to rest for sometime and wait for her response to his healing method.

Alex was now in the command center of the DEO still worried sick for her sister, she try everything to made her forgave herself and that everyone pretty much supports her and loves her even though this Redk incident. Mon-El try his luck too but also was shut down by her not wanting to talk, even his cousin Clark flew from Metropolis to see her after Alex quickly tell her about everything they were through for this past days and weeks, even him couldn't made her feel better and tell her that no one blames her for her actions, it was something she couldn't control.
