"Alissa, hi," Erin says cheerfully as I step into the classroom.

Since taking Camille's spot she has become Mila's teacher which works out great because they have a close bond. Although Mila adores Erin and likes spending time with her in and out of school, things are still awkward between us.

It's not that I have any hard feelings against her for seeing Billie, I just don't know how to act around her. I mean she went from being the nanny to dating my ex fiancé.

"Hi," I smile politely. "How was she today?"

"Perfect as usual. She's so sweet and well mannered. You and Billie are doing a great job," she compliments.

"Thank you. I appreciate you being so accepting. I know it's probably a little weird."

"Honestly it is, but I'm sure we'll eventually get past this awkward stage."

I nod. "You're right. We can't just become one big happy family over night."

She nods in agreement. "Billie is coming home today. I'm not sure if she told you."

"Oh yeah she called me yesterday. She's been calling nonstop this week," I giggle.

Billie has been on tour majority of my pregnancy and I know she feels bad about that. Luckily she pushed the later dates up and was able to end it early so she can be home when the baby comes.

"She's just been worried about you giving birth early and missing it," Erin smiles. "She's really excited."

"Pizza mommy," Mila interrupts us.

"Soon baby. Let me finish talking," I tell her as I pick her up and place her on my hip.

"Careful picking her up. I don't want you to hurt yourself," Erin says worriedly.

"Girl I'm fine. Thank you for staying late today. We'll see you on Monday. Say bye bye to Miss Erin," I tell Mila.

"Byyyyyeeee," she drags out and waves her little hand.

Once we are back in the car I drive to Billie's mom's house for dinner. Helen wants to see me at least twice a week if not more since Billie and I split up. It's sweet but also a little draining. Sometimes it hard acting like things are fine when I'm still a little bothered by the breakup.

"Hi my two soon to be three beautiful girls," she says as soon as we step inside the house.

"Pizza pizza," Mila yells.

Helen takes her from me and kisses her head. "That's right we're having pizza tonight. Come on in the kitchen Lissa."

I follow her into the large kitchen where she already has the pizza and plates laid out on the counter.

"You sit," she tells me. "I'll get it for you."

"It's ok I'm capable," I giggle.

"I wasn't asking you," she says, giving me a look I've gotten familiar with. She has been waiting on me hand and foot since I got pregnant like I'm some fragile doll. It's nice to have her around like this though since I don't get to share these moments with my own mom.
