I wake up the next morning feeling super bummed out. I couldn't sleep last night after my conversation with Billie. She seemed so pissed off and the last thing I want to do is make her upset. I really want us to be on the same page moving forward with everything.
I guess I should have checked with her before going on the date. I mean it was with her trainer so maybe she thought it was inappropriate.
It sucks though because I really like Cam. She's funny and attractive, and I like the fact that she decided not to sleep with me after our first date.
I grab my phone and notice my Instagram notifications are blowing up. I open the app and realize Billie's big announcement has taken over the Internet and fans are tagging me in different articles and posts.
To my surprise people are actually ticked off at Billie for not being with me and the kids. It's kind of sweet.
My phone dings and I expect it to be my friends giving their opinions in our group chat, but it's not.
234-852-7659: You good? I saw the article.
234-852-7659: It's Cam btw!
Me: Morning! I'm fine I guess! How did you get my number?
234-852-7659: I called myself from your phone while you were getting changed last night. Hope that's ok.
Me: it's definitely ok! I completely forgot to ask for your number and I didn't want to have to come to the gym to ask lol
234-852-7659: I guess I did us both a favor then! Interested in a morning run?
Me: Will there be breakfast afterwards??
234-852-7659: Na just protein shakes
Me: then no thanks! 🙃
234-852-7659: Kidding! Get dressed and meet me at the park.
Fifteen minutes later I'm dressed and waiting on a park bench for Cam to show up. Two hands cover my eyes from behind making me tense up.
"Guess who."
"Um Rihanna?"
"Haha very funny," Cam says sarcastically. "Let's go."
We start our run and at first neither of us says anything. I think she just didn't want me to be alone or something. I finally decide to start a conversation.
"What do you have planned for today?" I ask as we reach the one mile mark.
"Actually I'm free today. I don't usually schedule sessions on Sundays. What about you?"
"I get my kids back today from their grandparents so I'll probably just chill at home after that."
"Is Billie going to come over and hang out with you guys?" she asks.
