"Are you sure you want to take them?" I ask for the fifth time.
"Of course Alissa," Claudia laughs. "It's just for the weekend."
I'm finally going to enjoy another kid free weekend since Claudia and Finneas want to get some practice for when their little one arrives in a few months. I'm so glad to have people that like kids and don't mind giving me a break sometimes, especially since Mila has been acting like a teenager recently and giving me trouble.
"Ok I'm just making sure," I laugh too. "Mila is a hand full on her own."
"She's going to be the perfect angel. Right Millie?" Claudia says sweetly.
"Yep," Mila nods.
"Please be good Mila. I'm serious," I tell her.
"Say bye bye to mommy," Finneas swoops her up while Claudia holds Mya.
"Byyyyeee," Mila waves.
As soon as they are all out of the house I do a happy dance. Cam has been gone for almost two weeks looking at new gym locations across the state and I've actually missed her. She's supposed to get back into town later tonight and I can't wait.
I send her a quick text to make sure she still wants to get together and once she responds I go to my closet to pick out something to wear.
Hours later I'm dressed casually in a pair of jeans and an off the shoulder top. I throw on a pair of heels, leave my hair curly, and lightly do my makeup.
The doorbell rings and I practically run downstairs.
"Hey sexy," Cam says with a smirk. I jump into her arms making her laugh. "Ooh somebody missed me."
"You have no idea," I peck her lips. "Let me grab my purse and we can go."
I shut off the lights and grab my purse before locking up. She helps me into the car then we're off to have dinner.
"Stop looking at me like that," I smile as we sit across from each other at the table.
"I'm just admiring your beautiful face," she smiles. "You are gorgeous Alissa."
"You're making me blush," I hide my face.
"That's the point," she chuckles. "What did you get into while I was away?"
"Just work and taking care of the kids. Billie has been quiet. She just comes to get the girls and that's it. We haven't really talked."
"Interesting," she says, but doesn't say anything more.
"So um how was the trip? Did you find any good spots?"
"I found a few actually. I'm excited about the next phase. I've been wanting to expand for a while now so it's crazy it's finally happening."
