The smell of the cigarettes combined with the scent of the perfume both mixed together then inhaled, filling the nasal cavity. An Zeru was stunned for a moment with the cigarette still in his mouth, not knowing how to react.
Suddenly, the ash from the cigarette fell onto the back of his hand.
He finally regained his sense. Immediately frowning, he roughly pulled out the cigarette from his mouth as the back of his hand already turned red and blew it a few times. He retreated backward with quite the expression of disgust.
With a sneer, “Who the hell would want to be involved with you.”
Finished speaking, he turned his head to the side, snuffed out the cigarette in his hand, and pretended to start the motorcycle. Cen Simiao narrowed her eyes and called out to him, “Hey.”
An Zeru didn’t pay attention to her at all, and his hands didn’t stop. When he turned the key, the crisp sound of her heels rang out again and he felt a warmth next to his ear.
His body subconsciously shifted.
Cen Simiao was as if she was coaxing a child, “Isn’t your temper a bit too much? Don’t be angry…”
An Zeru felt that he was becoming angrier from this treatment. It was still okay if she hadn’t said anything, but once she opened her mouth, he felt annoyed. He tightened his jaw and endured it.
Finally, still unable to hold it back, with a turn of his head, he met her gaze.
Cen Simiao raised her eyebrows, then lowered her eyelashes and did not continue to stare at him but, instead, took a casual sip of her cigarette. His cold tone sounded, “Regardless of how I am, it’s not yours to judge.”
“Best to save your worries and put on a few more face masks, jie-jie.”
[T/N: jie-jie means older sister, in this case, it’s for the sarcasm tone.]
Cen Simiao held the cigarette between her fingers. Tilting her head, she blew out a smoke ring. When she turned back to look at him, she saw his face full of mockery, an appearance that seemed like he didn’t want to pay attention to her at all.
She chuckled, lowered her eyes, and pulled his hand. Before An Zeru was even able to react, he was caught, and the lit cigarette was placed in his hand.
Cen Simiao’s tone was slow and casual, “To actually be so angry… Then you don’t have to return it. Here, keep it well.”
Then she immediately turned and walked back towards the hall.
With her soft waist and slender legs, her gait was very charming.
An Zeru’s face was very ugly when he lowered his eyes to snuff out the cigarette, and he gnashed his teeth after seeing the lipstick mark left on the cigarette.
It was different from the bright red on his Adam’s apple that other day.
He was stupefied for a moment before he regained his mind again, but by that time, the figure in front of him was already some distance away. Then he suddenly remembered why Cen Simiao would be here and pursed his lips. He didn’t expect she really was somehow related to the An family.
What exactly was she planning?
An Zeru didn’t go back to his room to change his clothes. Instead, he directly went into the hall dressed in casual clothes and became particularly conspicuous among the group of people who were wearing suits and leather shoes.
No matter how unwilling he was, he could weigh the situation out clearly. When he saw someone smiling towards him, he would exchange a few words, all while he seamlessly glanced over the crowd several times.
