Chapter 15- Winter is coming

(A/n:  the volleyball game in this chapter isn't related to the haikyuu timeline, it's made up. I don't wanna spoil anything for anyone about the series)

(Tendou's POV)~

"That was so exciting!!" (Y/N) hugged me after i set her back on the ground. I brought her to my hideout. The place where we had our first kiss.

"I can't get over how beautiful this place is" She looked around with a smile.
"Do you have your lunch?" She asked me, sitting down on the bench.

"Oh crap. I completely forgot to pack it this morning." I sighed and sat beside her.

"Don't worry, i packed us both something before you showed up for tutoring." She pulled out a box wrapped in blue cloth covered in rubber duckies.

"Wow. This cloth is so cute I might actually die." I said, unwrapping it.
Inside was a rice ball in the shape of hello kitty, followed by different veggies.

I looked over to see her staring at me, like she was waiting for a reaction.
I pecked her lips and smiled.
"Thank you so much baby." I patted her head.

"Baby... I like it." She smiled wide and took a bite of her food.

About half way through eating I looked down at my watch.

"OH NO! I HAVE A VOLLEYBALL GAME!" I jolted up in the air and shovelled the rest of the food into my mouth, swinging (Y/N) onto my back.
"I'm gonna run now." I told her, right before taking off. The look on her face was priceless.

"I AM SOOOO SORRY IM LATE" I bowed my head at our coach.

"It's fine Tendou, just pay more attention next time, and don't get me in trouble with the principle." He then told me to get changed into my uniform.

"(Y/N)! I'll be right back!" I waved, going to the club room.

Semi was getting changed in the corner. I smiled and tiptoed over to where he was.
"BOO!" I whispered in his ear harshly.
He jumped and gave me a mad look.

"It's a wonder how you ended up scoring a hot girl like that." He rolled his eyes and smirked.

"Awww, that's mean!" I answered, taking off my shirt and replacing it with my teams shirt.

"No seriously though. How did that even happen?" He had a confused look on his face.

"Ha, you're jealous.  And since you're jealous, I won't tell you." I snickered and he just rolled his eyes.
I wasn't going to say : We met when I was having a mental breakdown. She helped me with my injuries from beating up a guy.
That would be crazy!

I walk out of the changing room and into the gym. Karasuno was setting up their stuff across the gym.

Number 10... what a shorty.

I look around to try to spot (Y/N). When I see her she's talking to a black haired boy... from Karasuno.

I jog up there and put my arm around (Y/N)'s shoulders

"Well hello there number... 9. How are you." I asked with a smile. He looked at me with a mad look on his face. He must be the competitive type.

(Y/N) was also looking at me with a mad look.
"Satori, we were having a conversation." She rolled her eyes at me.

"Ughhhh fineee." I let go and slapped number 9 in the arm. Starting to walk away.

A heard running behind me and it suddenly stopped.

"We're going to BEAT YOU!" A short, orange haired boy yelled. Number 10 actually.

"Tch. Don't tell me that, tell my friend over there." I point at Ushijima who looked like he was about to rip someone apart.

"I'll go to the bathroom first." The short boy said, running away.

What a weird guy.

We had won the game.
(Y/N)'a cheers were the loudest at the sidelines and my guessing was on point. It really is nice being tall.

I took a shower and then got changed back into my school uniform (since that was what I was wearing when we bolted from school).

I walked back into the gym with the towel over my head.
I scan though the gym and find (Y/N). She was staring at me with a distant smile.

I hugged her and kissed her cheek.

"Sooo, did you like the game?" I asked, jumping up and down in excitement.

"Like it? I loved it!!" She answered with a giant smile. I picked her up and twirled around.

"Satori... your hair looks really good down." She whispered.

I hadn't noticed that she's never seen me with my hair down before. I usually always jell it up.

I put her down and blush, taking the towel off my head and onto my shoulder.

"Maybe I'll keep it that way then." I smirked at her, wiggling my eyebrows.

"Pff, whatever." She laughed, punching me in the arm.

I said goodbye to my teammates and coach, then walked home with (Y/N).

The temperature outside really was getting colder. So cold I had a hat and gloves on.

"Hey you aren't half bad you know." She said, smiling at me.

"For volleyball?" I asked.

"Yeah, what else dummy!" She laughed and grabbed my hand.

"Eh, I'm okay I guess" I answered, scratching the back of my neck.

"I got it. Since you won let's have an epic sleepover with horror movies and candy. We can stay up all night and do karaoke or something." She squealed, stopping us from walking.

"Um, HELL YEAH! That sounds so fun!!" I laughed and kissed her nose.
She giggled and pulled on my tie, making me duck down to her level, then she kissed me.

"I love you." She sang, spinning me around.

"I-I love you too baby." I stuttered, getting my balance back from the twirl.
