Chapter 23- Making up

(Tendou's POV)~

"So, Uh, who's that Ali girl?" I asked (Y/N). The walk is long and tense. Wonderful. (Note the sarcasm).

"I went to elementary school with her. We both would die for Zac Effron. That's how we became friends." She smiled a bit and looked down at the ground.

I smiled too.

A few more silent minutes passed.

Why is it so goddamn hard to say what's on your mind? UGH! Spit it out Satori!! BE A MAN!

"(Y/N), I-"

"Satori listen-"

We both spoke at the same time, trying to finally blurt out what's on our minds.

"I'm going first." I said. I stopped walking and turned to her.

"I am so sorry. I was selfish and wasn't looking out for your feelings. I know your dad is a touchy subject for you, and I just brushed it off, then when you fell I just brought you to my house because I didn't think you would want to see me. I got taken over by my own thoughts and emotions, I'm so sorry."
I was looking down on my coat zipper the whole time, zipping it up and down slightly.

She put her finger under my chin, raising it enough that I was looking at her (which wasn't much cause she's short.)

"Satori, it wasn't your fault at all. Trust me on this one. It was nowhere near RIGHT for me to bring up my dad like that. You were going through so much with your mom and I just made it all about myself." She grazed her thumb on my chin while she talked.

"Look, I'm not the best at showing my feelings... But I want you to know that I really REALLY appreciate you Satori." She gave me a warm smile.

"I appreciate everything you do for me. I love you. Don't ever forget it." She went on her tippy toes and kissed me. I didn't move though.

"(Y/N). I don't want to hurt you again." I put my hands on her shoulders.

"Satori, not being by my side would hurt me the most. Besides, you didn't hurt me."

I looked away.

"But I did." I muttered.

The yelling. Leaving her alone. Breaking up with her.

"But I yelled at you, and left you alone." I furrowed my eyebrows. I'm disappointed in myself.

"Satori, look at me. Your yelling was for good reason. Everything you yelled about was true." She kissed my cheek.

"You never left me, you were just scared, and that's okay." She kissed my other cheek.

"I'm sorry." I whispered.

"Me too." She responded.

Then I finally hugged her.
Feeling her arms wrapped around my body felt nice. I feel safe.

"Satori, I'm selfish you know, so please, be patient with me." She said against my chest.

You're not selfish.

"Okay." I responded. I rested my chin on her hair.

I'll leave it at that.

"Tendou, how'd things go with your woman?" I was talking to Tomoyo on the phone.

"Ok." I answered.

"Just ok?" He asked.

"It went good." I snapped.

"Ok calm yourself there." He laughed.
"Any interesting things happen?" He kept pushing questions on me.

"Yeah I guess." I blandly answered.

I heard him sigh.

"Dude, give me DEETS." He yelled.

"Ok, ok, stop yelling." I rolled my eyes, throwing myself onto my bed.

"She was at some random girls house when I FINALLY found her." I started. I went to say something else and he cut me off.

"Girl? What girl? Is she cute? How old is she? Did she seem nice?" He kept asking questions about her.

"Uh...yes? Her names Ali. Look, when I introduce you to (Y/N) as a friend I'll just ask her to invite Ali too. We can do a double date or something." I cringed at my own words. Double date? BARF.

"Cool bro! You'd do that for me? Awwwwwww." He teased me from the other side of the line.

"Ok bye now." I cut him off and hung up. I laughed a bit to myself.

I finally had a guy friend. It's been a long time since that happened.

He isn't half bad.
