7. Going out to the shops

You and Bruno didn't really go out to the shops during lockdown, however some essential items were running low, and with the continuous surge of panic buyers, you felt it was time to go out.

You had to drag Bruno out of bed to get him up to start getting ready, just wanting to get out of the house. This was probably the second time you had been out of the house, and you were starting to get bored.

"Are you ready?" You asked Bruno, opening the door.

"Mmmhm," He responded, as you both stepped out of the door, you locking it.

"Do you have everything?" He asked you. You nodded, "Sure."

He raised an eyebrow, "Check quick. Phone?"

You nodded.

"Hand gel?"

You nodded again.

"Purse?"

You nodded.

"Mask?"

You shook your head, huffing and going back inside to get it. This is what the world has come to, making sure you have a mask before you step outside.

"Now we're ready."

As the shops were only allowing one person from eachother household, you went in on your own, grabbing all the essentials as fast as you could and then went to pay.

It was crazy. Toilet paper was on shortage. I mean out of everything...why toilet paper? Why was that such a panic buyer's haven?

You packed the things and wobbled outside to Bruno, who immediately took the bags off you, setting them down.

"How was it?" He asked.

"Chaotic. Let's get out of here."

He chuckled, giving you some hand gel then picking up the bags to go home.

"Who would've thought lockdown could make going to a retail shop look like a get a way?" Bruno asked, making you laugh.
