Memphis Depay

"I'm just going out to the shops to grab some more essentials, okay babe? I'll be home as quick as I can," Memphis told you, giving you a kiss on the cheek.

"Okay love. See you soon," You smiled.

He left the room and you heard the gentle close of the door, telling you he had left.

You collapsed on the bed, staring up at the ceiling.

Lockdown had become so boring lately. It was nothing to do with Memphis, but the whole consistent routine and the non existence of living life on the edge got to you.

There were no seeing of family members, no dates, no football, nothing open. It was just...gone.

The only thing this lockdown was good for was the fact that you and Memphis got to spend so much time together, which you wouldn't change for the world.

You often called your parents so you could check up on each other. You normally did this when Memphis was training outside or something.

You sighed, feeling the cold tears roll down your cheeks as you thought about what life had become for not only you, but the world.

After thirty minutes of being wrapped up in a depressed bubble, Memphis cheerfully announced he was home. You heard him place the bag down on the side, but didn't dare come out...you still tried to hide the tears from him.

"Babe?" He called, "I'm home now. Are you sleeping?!"

You felt bad for not coming out, so you did, and you were greeted with a loving embrace and kiss.

Memphis knew something was up as soon as he had entered the house again. Your cheeks were wet and still drying as if you had been crying, and your eyes were slightly red.

He looked into your eyes, "Baby, are you okay?"

You thought you were gonna lose it there, but you took a deep breath and explained everything to him, how you felt about life and how depressed you were becoming because of it.

He sighed, "I know baby, it's so hard. Especially cause you're such an outgoing person. But it won't be like this forever...everything will be okay...I promise. And have I ever broken a promise?"

You shook your head.

"That's what I thought, now let me show you what I brought!"
