8. "Hey, just focus on me. You're okay." (anxiety attack mentions)

"Come on, lets just use the lift. It's too high to go up the stairs," Ben encouraged, linking arms with you.

You nodded shakily.

Truth is, you hated lifts. You suffered from extreme claustrophobia and used stairs whether possible. You hated being trapped in small spaces for a period of time, and you had also watched loads of films where lifts fell when they got stuck. That frightened you more.

You two got in the lift and soon it ascended. It was a one way window, the people inside the lift could see outside through one wall, but people outside couldn't see into the lift at all.

Suddenly your worst nightmare came true. The lift stopped abruptly, Ben holding you steady so you didn't fall. He walked over to the buttons and pressed them, but it didn't work.

"Oh damn, the lift's stuck. Let me call the operators," He told you.

As soon as he said it was stuck you felt everything going into overdrive. You felt like you were gonna be sick. Your mind raced and your heart pounded. You felt like you couldn't breathe. Ben finished talking to the operator.

You slumped down in the corner. The room spinning and everything blurry.

"Baby, baby! It's okay. It's okay. Please don't panic. We're gonna get of this soon. I promise. I'm so sorry, this is my fault. Why didn't you tell me you were claustrophobic?" He asked, bringing you into his chest so you could calm down.

You didn't answer.

"Hey, just focus on me. You're okay," Ben consoled, locking eye contact with you and counting your breaths together.

"I'm sorry," You mumbled, your throat dry, "I thought you'd think it was silly."

He shook his head, "It's not silly. Don't ever think that's. I'm here for you and always will be. Come on, let's take funny pictures."

You didn't even think twice about being stuck in a lift. It was better, it was easier because you were stuck with the love of your life.
