7. "You deserve someone better than me."

Bruno often found himself washed in self pity, especially when he saw how happy you were when you went out. He knew he loved you, and you loved him...but he couldn't help but feel like he wasn't good enough.

He'd lay awake at night thinking about it. He would look down at how you were cuddled into him, your arms hugging his waist. He would smile, but it would soon pass.

He didn't know where the self pity came from. Maybe it was the fact that he saw all the other footballers and their girlfriends go on more dates than you two did, or the fact they'd post more pictures of them kissing, or write long paragraphs about eachother.

You were gonna get back from work in about five minutes, so he was stuck in his thoughts for what felt like an eternity.

But as he thought about it more, he got more and more worked up. And eventually he found himself crying.

He didn't even hear you come in, and cheerfully call his name, before running over to him.

"Bruno? Bruno what's wrong?" You worriedly asked, hugging his shoulders.

He just collapsed into your chest, as you consoled him.

"Why are you crying, baby?" You questioned again, as he started to calm down.

"You deserve someone better than me," He simply said, shaking into your chest.

"What?! No I do not. If anything you deserve someone better than me!" You exclaimed, you lifted his chin, " Look at me. You're the best thing to ever happen to me. I was so lost without you, and now I feel like I have a sense of direction. I see my whole life with you. You're perfect. Why would you even think that?"

He sniffled, "I don't take you on many dates. Or post paragraphs about you. Or post photos of us kissing."

You shook your head, "And? I love our relationship. I love the way we are, okay? Don't ever think that again, understand? I love you."

He nodded, happy once again, as you dried his tears and took him to go and watch some films, his thoughts and doubts left behind.
