January 1st 1778
This is my first day as a solider. I have signed up under my father's name. I enjoy wearing the breech's of a boy. It is much easier to run and be free. It's also much lighter than wearing all the layers I usually wear. However, I hold the risk of being discovered. I want to do more than be just a girl, I want to fight. Therefore, I have become Lewis.
