March 2nd 1778
I have been discovered. I was going to the bathroom when the solider walked in and saw that I'm not a boy. I fear that he may have told others and that I will now be sent home. I never even received a chance to fight. General Washington is a very understanding man, but he wouldn't let me stay regardless. I don't know what to do. My mother always taught me that in a time of need, the best thing you can do is pray. I pray that the solider will not speak.
