"Fuck, fuck, fuck, Quinn! Wake up!" Axton shouted, abruptly pulling me out of sleep. "What's happening?" I yawned while rubbing my eyes. My body felt so weak and sore from our activities some hours ago. "Fire. My pack is in danger," Axton blurted out while pulling the sweatpants over his legs. My eyes widened and I jolt off the bed, all the sleepiness was immediately knocked out of me. We both quickly got dressed and ran outside.
What we knew was coming was finally here.
"I don't fucking care if you're the head warrior or not! You are pregnant and I'm not putting you or our child in danger. So please, just stay here," Theo hissed at Harper and she remained quiet. I guess they're already aware. "I think that's a good idea, someone needs to look after the twins," I say, announcing my entrance into the living room with Axton's hand in mine.
"Fine. but if anything happens, please don't hesitate to mind link me," she gave in. "Promise," Theo kissed her forehead but clearly that wasn't enough for her, she pulled him into a deep kiss and we look away so they can have their moment. "I have a bad feeling about this," Axton whispered as he pulled me into a hug.
"Thank God!" The door burst open and Tommy walked in. "They're at the water center! Hurry up before this whole place blows up!" He ordered. I'd expect he remembered that from when he was controlled by my parents. My parents! They're the ones behind this. "Harper...You need to get them out of here. If we don't get out of this then you three- you four need to," Axton decided.
I didn't want to think about not making it out of this. We had to. We simply had to. "You can't. No one can escape. No one can leave or enter the pack. It's the black magic," Tommy revealed. Fuck, this is horrible. "Then get in the fucking basement! Let's go!" Axton growled out. In no time we all ran out of the house. We got into one of the vans, Axton and I in the front seats and Theo and Tommy in the back.
I've never seen Axton drive so fast before.
Minutes later we arrived at a broken down building. It was painted blue with board nailed over the windows and broken chains over the door. We bolted inside without any weapons, already prepared for the worst. Just as expected, mother and father dearest was standing in the middle of all the pipes. "You son of a bitch! Leave my fucking pack alone if you know what's best for you!" Axton growled out with his fists clenched so tight that his knuckles were tight. My parents laugh, not even phased.
"This is only step one little Alpha! If we can conquer this pack then we can conquer the rest until there are no werewolves standing! You have done enough and now, it's time for you all to pay!" My father fired back. "You'll be ruining innocent lives! Children! Families! Homes! Don't do this. It's the black magic that's doing this, we can help you!" Theo insisted, hoping to get through to them.
"When the moon reaches the certain place in three minutes and we drop this match, this entire pack with burn without mercy. There is nothing you can do about it," mother snickered. "Black magic is bad for a reason, mother! It ruins you, controls you, consumes you, it's pure evil, and only promises destruction. You don't want this, I promise you. Please, don't. This isn't worth it. We can show you how to live better! This isn't worth it! Please!" I pleaded.
"Don't speak to me when you have filthy dogs roaming your body, Quinn Eden Pierce!" My father scolded. I didn't know what else to say, what else we can do to save our pack. We can't give up but at the moment, as the time disappeared, the only thing left was the worse. "Quinn...there's no getting out of this. We have to take them down. I'm sorry. Our children won't survive this, my pack won't survive a magical fire," Axton's voice flooded my mind. I looked down, accepting what has to be done.
"Fine! Leave. Go home. I can deal with this on my own," I turn around and spoke to Axton, Theo, and Tommy. "Wh-" Theo began to object before his face relaxed in realization. Tommy seemed to catch on as well. "Okay. Fine...Please save us," Theo corrected himself. I gave them a hopeful smile before they walked out. Are they that stupid to let them walk away so easily? Werewolves are determined and they never give up, family and their pack mean everything to them. So clearly, they don't know as much about werewolves as they claim.
"That isn't going to work foolish child! Nothing can change our minds from wanting to destroy werewolves once and for all. That includes you since you allowed one to knock you up," My father scoffed, looking at me with disgust. Burn in hell. "Please! See the good side! I'll give you anything you want! Money, a new house, a car, anything you want just not this, please!" I pleaded over and over.
They both looked up and grinned, already telling me I was losing time. Where the fuck are they? Right then, the back door in the distance opened and slid through was Axton and Theo. My parents were about to turn around to check it out when I dropped on my knees in front of them with my palms pressed together. That clearly got their attention away from the noise.
"Please mommy and daddy! Don't do this! I love you guys remember!" I shout, taking everything out of me to say this without the disgust. My body feels weird now that I said that horrible lie. My mother's eyes softened slightly and my father was quick to ruin that. "Hurry up dear! It's time! Let's light the fire and watch the whore of our daughter burn!" My father blurted out and grabbed the matchbox from his pocket.
My heart raced in panic as my mother agreed, she snapped out of whatever my words put her in.
"Three."
Axton and Theo could no longer be seen in the dark room. I didn't want to focus on the back before they get suspicious.
"Two."
They lit the stick, waiting to drop it at any second now.
"O-"
My father couldn't finish the sentence because five claws went through his neck before it was ripped off his body. My mother screamed in the background as I pushed my body to catch the lit match grain from dropping onto the wet. It landed in my hand and I crushed it out, the small burn healed instantly. I look over to see Axton and Theo wiping their hands with blood splattered on their faces. My parents laying lifeless on the ground.
Axton fell beside me, wrapping his hands around me and I hid in his chest so I didn't have to see their gruesome bodies. "It's over, baby. We did it. It's going to be okay," Axton promised as he left a strong kiss on my forehead.
