"Lila please eat the strawberries!" I pleaded. my white tank top was a mess and so was her green dress. I've been trying to get her to like strawberries ever since Quinn said she hoped Delilah likes strawberries like her. "But I don't like strawberries!" She whined and I sighed. I give up. I threw away the strawberries that she squished up in her hands and the good ones I placed back in the fridge.

"Mommy loves strawberries," I tell Delilah as I picked her up from the high chair. "I know! she's weird," Delilah laughed. She wiped her messy mouth on my tank top and I froze, stunned that she even did that. "What! You did say to wipe my mouth when it's dirty..." she trailed off. I huffed, knowing she was right and I let her get away with it. My tank top was already suited from our fruit exploration anyway. "Come on, let's go get cleaned up before mommy and Dev comes back from the store," I sighed. It was family movie night after all and Quinn took Devin to the store to get ingredients to make pizza.

"Are Tommy and Luke coming tomorrow?" Delilah asked as I helped her out of her clothes and wrapped her in her pink towel. Tommy bettered himself. He left after our wedding eight months ago to find himself as he called it and the pack wasn't the place for him. When he returned three months ago for a visit, he had company as well. Luke. They've been together for nearly nine months, so he says. I'm happy Tommy found someone, I'm happy he found himself and got himself out of the shadow Quinn's parents put him in.

"Yep. Luke says he has a present for you and Devin," I reminded her and her eyes lit up at a possible new toy. She already had quite the collection at three years old. "Axton?" The door opened and my beautiful wife stood in the doorway. "I'll bathe them while you go get one yourself. We're starting movie night earlier," she glared at me with purpose since I can never choose the right movie to watch.

"Fine," I huffed and she gladly accepted Delilah. "Don't soak mommy's clothes again," I warned Devin. He laughed and ran into their extended bathroom. "See you in a bit," I kissed Quinn's forehead before leaving the bedroom. I glanced at the picture frame from our wedding on the way to my room.

I proposed to her a week before Harper's wedding. We agreed to keep it a secret until after my sister's wedding because we didn't want to steal their spotlight. The proposal happened in the middle of the forest. I set up a picnic dinner with fairy lights and I even had the projector to watch her favourite movies and everything.

So much has happened since Quinn entered my life. She changed me, made me see things differently, and taught me what love was while I showed her what love is. We were a complicated duo yet our pieces fit perfectly together.

Now we're inseparable. We're parents together, we rule together and we love together. There's nothing I wouldn't do to never stop myself from crossing paths with the hungry vampire. Shaking my head to stop thinking about not meeting her, I stripped my clothes off my body and got into the shower. I don't stay too long so I don't get cold. I turned off the shower and dried my skin as I walked to the bedroom again.

I silently hoped Quinn was laying on the bed in my favorite lingerie piece she owned but sadly, she wasn't. With that thought, I quickly got dressed and purposely subtracted my shirt from my attire.

I flopped down on the sofa and patiently waited for Quinn to be done with the twins. Seconds later, the door opened and I stared at her with wanting eyes as she approached me. "Baby?" Quinn sat beside me and I hummed in response, my hand automatically wrapped around her waist. "What are you thinking about?" She asked me and kissed my temple, as if it would help reveal my thoughts.

"What if I didn't find you that day in the forest?" I absentmindedly asked. I guess it was still on my mind from earlier and I didn't really realize it. She looked at me weirdly, probably wondering what I was thinking by this. "We're soulmates, Axton. Our paths are made to cross no matter how much we could have avoided it," she softly told me. I laced her hand with mine and brought the back of her palm to my lips. "I wished I found you sooner then," I replied. "I don't," she revealed and I wait for her to explain.

"If we met earlier then I would have been a fragile human, not a badass vampire, Axton," she smirked and kissed my lips. I don't get to say anything before the kids ran into the room screaming. They were wearing matching onesie pajamas. Adorable. "I still can't get over that I'm a father," I mumbled as I got up to get the movie ready.

The Princess Bride.

The movie plays in the background and I pay attention to most parts. I've seen it a million times before so I can basically narrate the entire movie. "Faithfulness he spoke of! Your enduring faithfulness! Now tell me princess did you wait a week out of the respect for the dead-" 'The dread pirate Roberts', Westley, scolded Princess Buttercup. Other parts my eyes are on my children who were already looking a bit sleepy and then their mother. She's so effortlessly beautiful. Inside and out. I'm so lucky. To have met her, she gave me a family. That's the greatest blessing I could have ever asked for.

"Quinn," I whispered to her and pulled her by the waist so she was now sitting on my lap. She hummed in reply, still caught up in the movie unlike me. She made no effort to move her body from her hold. That's where she belongs. In my arms.

"I can't wait to fuck you."
