*One year later*
It's been a whole year and absolutely nothing has happened. I mean at the beginning, after we found Shawn. I told Axton about my parents and Tommy. The voices I heard, all that. Then we began preparing for the worst. Stressing about if they planned to target the babies again. If Shawn was in danger again. If Uncle Garret was coming back. If they were coming back for me, Axton, Diana, Harper, Theo. Anyone really. Then a week passed. A month. Two months. Four months. Nothing was happening. So we started to relax a little. Watching the kids grow up. Living our normal lives. Shawn and Diana got close again. The babies growing up quickly. Having a vampire and werewolf parents means they'll probably age quicker.
Tonight was date night. We finally got some free time. Leaving Harper, Theo, Diana, and Shawn to take care of the kids. I was really excited for the date. Axton had it all planned out. I grabbed my lipstick, applying one more layer. I fluffed up my hair once more. Fanning it out over my shoulders and down my back. I secured the strap on my heels before waltzing my way downstairs. Axton stood at the door. Adjusting the cuffs of his suit. I smiled at how incredibly charming he looked. He still hadn't looked up at me. At the click of my heals on the last step he looked up at me. His eyes gleaming with love, adoration, mischief, and overall lust. I doubt I looked any different. Both of us smiling from ear to ear.
