I snuck back into the room without anyone seeing me and shut the door behind me. With huge steps, I walked back to where I left the chain in the drawer, protected by the soft cloth.

I placed it here. I know I did. I threw everything off the table, tearing the books apart in hope of finding the precious pendant. Without that I'd be dead, He's going to kill me when he finds out that I lost the pendant. I'm one hundred percent sure I left it here, it was something precious so I wouldn't forget.
So that must mean that they took it. Fuck. I'm so screwed. They knew about me. I failed. I'm going to die. And it's all that bitch Quinn's fault.
My fists balled at my sides in anger. They know about me. I have to run, I can't stay here. My work here was failed but I found out enough information. I pulled the chair out and sat down at the desk, laughing as I wrote down the riddle for them. I wished them luck in finding out the answer to this.
