"I'm telling you," said Sapphire, annoyance dripping from her tone. She sat on her bed in a black skirt and a fluffy light beige shirt. She quite liked her outfit and felt comfortable in her beige, lace flat sandals. Her long, purple, straight hair hung around her shoulders, framing her face. In front of her, Alice was looking through Sapphire's shoes and was going ballistic, throwing clothes out of the closets in search of the said 'perfect' outfit.

"No, no, no! " yelled Lily, throwing a blue dress out of the closet, her arms falling to her sides.

"For God's sake, Lily, you're losing your mind about this more than me, and I'm the one invited," Sapphire huffed. getting off the bed and placing her hands on Lily's shoulders to calm her down

"I just," sighed Lily, her head leaning against Sapphire's shoulder. Sapphire chuckled, rubbing Lily's back in amusement. "I want the date to be perfect, Sapph."

"I know you do, Lily, I know you do. But honestly, you should relax and let me worry about the outfit and the possibility that James could throw me off the Astronomy Tower," Sapphire mused, chuckling as Lily chucked a dress at her. "Come on, I should get going anyway."

"Alright just let me check,'' said Lily, throwing her hands into Sapphire's hair and throwing it back over her back Lily smacked her lips together and smiled at Sapphire. "I think I managed to do it well."

Sapphire rolled her eyes, saying goodbye to both Alice and Lily before walking outside the dorm. The Common Room wasn't as full as Sapphire expected, the eerie silence creating an uncomfortable feeling in the pit of Sapphire's stomach. Okay, so maybe leading a guy on- who may actually have nevertheless small feelings for her isn't the thing she's most proud of. But what other choice did she have? Sapphire was determined to avenge Severus because he was truly heartbroken like she was. James Potter wouldn't be heartbroken if Severus supposedly stole Lily from because James Potter doesn't love Lily, Sapphire was sure of that. During her full month at Hogwarts Alice and her often gossip, and Alice explained what was going on between Lily and James.

Sapphire concluded that James was only in love with Lily because he liked her physically. Not only that he just thought that Lily's rejections and insults are only based on her trying to keep her feelings under control, when in all honesty, Lily just wasn't interested in him.

Even when she had all this figured out, Sapphire couldn't help but feel bad about stringing him along. Quite frankly, she had the first impression of James as a whiny person who deliberately stole a girl from someone And that reminded her of her past relationship, which made her blood boil in anger. Sapphire's more optimistic side tried defending James by thinking that he didn't realize he was stealing Lily from someone until she and Severus began talking more and the topic of James and the rest of the Marauders bullying him came up. That was when Sapphire knew she would go past all boundaries to make sure Severus got the person he loved.

Sapphire also thought she knew why Lily wasn't admitting her feelings towards Severus. Naturally, being a Gryffindor Lily wasn't at all encouraged to merely nod at a Slytherin when they passed the same hallway other than to insult them. And as a Slytherin Severus was more than pushed to hate on everyone who wasn't pureblood and liked Muggles and Muggle-borns. So, as expected, Sapphire could see why Lily was so reluctant to show her feelings towards the dark-haired boy. She also knew that with a bit of luck, she could manage to break James ' heart and bring Severus and Lily closer.

As Sapphire found herself in the Astronomy Tower, her breath hitched in her throat while taking in the sight in front of her. Other than the breathtaking view from the Tower alone, she felt goosebumps take over her body when she saw exactly how much effort James put into their date. On the benches in front of the golden, misshapen ball thing in the middle. James had set up a white cloth with a basket sitting on the far end of one of the benches. A radio was next to it playing a familiar song, Heartbreak Song by a Muggle singer.
