The dorm room Sapphire shared with her friends was in utter chaos. Dresses, heels, flats, necklaces, and other jewelry. Boots, skirts, and blouses everywhere and anywhere on the floor, on the beds, on the chairs, dangling from the bathroom mirror. The girls were scurrying from one corner of the room to the other, squealing in delight or grimacing at how awful a certain shoe or a certain shade of eye shadow looked on them. Sapphire was responsible for hairdressing Lily and Alice since she was the best. Alice was responsible for makeup since Lily and Sapphire couldn't hold a mascara wand to save their life, and Lily was responsible for pairing up outfits and shoes with jewelry.
So far, the three girls were doing a pretty good job of getting ready and helping each other get ready. Alice was the first ready. The pretty brunette was going to the Halloween Ball as a student who became a zombie. She was wearing transparent white knee-high socks with ' blood, a ripped red and black squared skirt, her hair was curled and in two high ponytails, a ripped white shirt and grey blazer, and red heels. She had on deliciously red lipstick that formed her lips and her only accessory was a knife with blood on it.
Alice was currently styling Sapphire's hair, which she had dyed back to its natural dark brown color with light brown and blonde highlights. It was casually curled with a small fringe. She was wearing a dead married woman costume and dark heels. She had this awesome-looking Frankenstein necklace. Alice painted her nails black and her lips red. She was wearing sharp blue eye contact lenses and long lashes. Lily refused to come out of the bathroom until she had her costume all together, saying she had a big surprise for them.
"Do you think she'll come out with something incredibly slutty that defies everything she believes in?'' Sapphire asked eyes closed while Alice curled another bunch of her hair. "Or do you think she'll come dressed as a nun- in training?" Alice snorted and patted Sapphire's head indicating she was done.
"I don't know, Lily could decide to sweep a certain someone off their feet by dressing like a common streetwalker," Alice said, Sapphire, watching her with an amused twinkle in her eyes. "Or she'll decide to keep her integrity in place and convert into the God-fearing character from The Sound of Music."
Sapphire giggled and stood up, admiring herself in the mirror. The girl looking back at her didn't like herself at all. Her hair and eye color were a major difference, but she still had the same proud and confident stance and walked that charming smile.
"Even as a zombie bride, I look fabulous," Sapphire stated, twirling around in front of the full-body length mirror, Alice hummed sarcastically while knocking on the bathroom door for the umpteenth time this evening.
"Lily, we're not getting any younger here! " said Alice, leaning her body against the door. "If you're somewhat afraid of us seeing you in a ridiculously sinful outfit or a Slughorn-like cloak, don't worry. We won't judge."
The door clicked before Lily opened it, making Alice and Sapphire gasp. Lily was wearing a short lacy black dress that barely covered her bum, strapless with a sweetheart neckline. Her hair was straightened, red heels adorned her feet and her lips were as red as Sapphire's.
"Lily, darling," Sapphire breathed out. "You look like a slut."
"Oh good, I wanted to look like you," Sapphire glared at her before Alice shut her up.
"What do you mean? This isn't something you would wear."
"Well, maybe I wanted to impress someone," Lily said, twirling around. When she noticed Alice and Sapphire needed more information. "Okay, listen. I heard from someone that Severus was planning on asking me out tonight and I wanted to look pretty and impress him. I didn't want to wear something that came out from my mother's closet or anything that came out of Sapphire's- ow! I just, I want to impress Sev, and that's all. "
