Sapphire Gerard never was afraid of much, admittedly an angry Headmistress was one of them, but when she entered the Slytherin Common Room with Severus, she felt the color drain from her face. The Common Room was somewhat classy, with green couches in front of a green-colored fire. The furniture placing resembled the Gryffindor Common Room but the decor was in no way the same. The first thing Sapphire saw was a head with long blonde hair sitting on the couch with all its glory, surrounded by people with blonde and black mixed hair.

"Are you sure we're still in Hogwarts?" she whisper-yelled, sticking next to Severus as if her life depended on it. He snickered, pushing her softly against him, towering over her.

"I'm pretty sure," said Severus, a coy smile on his pale lips.

"I swear to Merlin if I end up dead and you go to my funeral, I will come back in spirit form and haunt your Slytherin ass," Sapphire said, scowling when a few Slytherin seventh years glared at her.

"I promise if you get murdered. I will not come to your funeral. Now come," Severus snapped, looking impatient. Sapphire followed him up the stairs into the boys' dormitories. He opened the door to what appeared to be his room and sat down on one double-decked bed with green sheets. "Onto important matters, how's the plan going?"

"Perfectly," said Sapphire, a smile forming on her face, the first one ever since she entered the Slytherin Common Room. She opened up her bag and handed him the paper planes she received from James. He looked confused before opening them up, his dark eyes moving read A smirk appeared on his face and he brushed the hair out of his eyes. "And just yesterday he asked me to the Halloween Ball and I said yes."

"This is going along perfectly."

"I'm sure of it. Can you stop looking like you're planning a mass murder you're scaring me?"

"Right excuse me,'' said Severus, giving her back the paper planes He looked sufficiently satisfied, his smirk turning into a wide grin. "You know, I had my doubts when you said step one was done, but it appears to be working rather well.

"Yes, sure, of course," Sapphire stuttered. She had been wanting to ask him hundreds of questions about their plan, but she wasn't sure if the time was appropriate. "I've been meaning to ask you something- "

"Go on," said Severus, getting up from his bed and looking through his trunk. He gave Sapphire his back which somehow relieved her.

"I was wondering; don't you think what we're doing is, a bit, sort of kind of mean?" she said, her heart dropping to her stomach when Severus stopped ruffling through his stuff. He slowly turned around, frowning and looking a bit angered.

"Mean? Mean? What we're doing is mean?" His tone of voice was dangerously low and calm, his arms crossed over his chest. Sapphire backed away from his slightly scared he might lash out at her.

"Well, yeah, a bit."

"If what we're doing is mean, what adjective are you assessing to what Potter has been doing to me for the past five years?"

"I..."

"No, listen to me," he snapped, clearly angered. "We're too far into this to stop now. You suggest this, you wanted this, you initialized this. I didn't. It was your idea. I never proposed this. So, as every good person would do you will go on with this plan and break James Potter's heart, just like promised. What we are doing is not mean. It's called justice, Sapphire, and James Potter should know what that means. And why are you looking so guilty? It's not like you have feelings for the idiot, do you? Do you?"

"No!" Sapphire yelled, disbelief, and anger written on her face. "How can you ask me this? I do not in any way have feelings for him, and you should know this of all people. And stop trying to make me seem like the bad person in this. Yes, I may have 'initialized' this, but if I knew you'd be such an arse to me then I wouldn't have. I am doing this to help you out of the goodness of my heart, Severus, you should know what."
