Moving Day

You wake up to the sound of your parents moving things around the house and the engine of a van outside. You roll your eyes because you already know it's going to be early so you dread to see the time but you look over to your alarm clock anyway. 8:02am. Still tired, you try to fall back to sleep but the noises from the house and outside are too loud so you decide to check your phone and scroll through TikTok. The first thing you do is go to your following and search "Duke Depp" so you can see if he's recently uploaded, which he had! You let out a small burst of  excitement when you see that there's a new video and you instantly click on it. The caption of the video is "omg it looks like a green screen but like... it's not hahaha" so you have a little chuckle to yourself as you realise he's right.

You've been a huge fan of Duke Depp ever since he did the face reveal on his Willy Wonka account; secretly you think he's kinda hot but you don't tell anyone that. You're mum startles you as she shouts from downstairs for you to bring the boxes from your room out to the moving van and once again you roll your eyes as you throw the covers off of you and feel the cold air hit you.

*a few hours later*

You finally get to the car park outside your new apartment block and you let out a sigh of relief because you was starting to get bored in the car. As you open the boot of your car to get some boxes out, you see a Tesla pull into the car park and you find yourself just staring at it because you've always wanted a Tesla. You jump back into reality when the owner of the car starts walking up to you and says something. "Do you need any help with that?" you hear the man say and without looking up you say "that would be great thank you". You recognised the voice but you didn't think much of it because you was still tired so you just wanted to get the boxes inside and unpacked. Your mum leads him up to your apartment and while follow behind, you giggle because you think that from behind the man looks exactly like your favourite TikTok creator, Duke Depp.

Once you're inside your new apartment you hear your parents and the man talking and introducing themselves. "Hi I'm Debby and this is my husband Ryan." you smile from the other room because that has always made you laugh. You then hear the man say "Hi Debby and Ryan it's nice to meet you" and you can hear in his voice that he's trying to hold back his laugh. "My names Duke, I live in the apartment just above you." When you hear him say this you drop the box in shock but you convince yourself that it's just a coincidence that that's his name. 

As you walk into the room that they're all in, you see them all turn around and stare at you and for some reason you feel really awkward. You look over to the man and instantly stop in your tracks and you realise that it's the real Duke Depp! "Y/n is everything alright?" You hear you're mum say but you ignore her. "Y/n your mother asked you a question, answer her!" your dad says so you manage to let out a single word, "yeah". You see Duke chuckle to himself as he walks closer and says "Don't worry I don't bite" and he laughs some more. "Id let you bite though" slips out of your mouth and you go bright red and you see him smile at it but luckily it was only quiet so your parents didn't hear. You're parents ask why you're acting so weird so you try to explain yourself as your parents look at you, confused. "Mum, dad, he's like my favourite TikToker. You know him... Willy Wonka". Your parents come to realisation that he has millions of followers and they instantly apologise for letting him carry some of the boxes upstairs and say he no longer needs to help because he probably has more important things to do. He laughed and explained that he loves to help out as much as often and doesn't want to be treated any special way just because he's popular on social media, which made you love him even more then you already did.

"I guess I'll get going now to give you time to unpack. I know it can be tiring, I only moved in last week." Duke said. Your parents thanked him for his help and he said that if you need anything just give him a call and he handed your parents a slip of paper with his number on. "It was lovely meeting you Debby and Ryan," he said smirking "sorry I didn't catch your name. What was it?" He said staring at you. "Y/n" you say. "That's a beautiful name. It was nice meeting you y/n." You feel yourself start to blush and you realise it's noticeable so you quickly blurt our "you to Duke, I hope we can talk again soon", which makes you go redder then you already was. Duke looks behind you so you turn to see what he was looking at and you noticed your parents were now in a different room and as you turn back around you notice Duke is leaning into you and he whispers into your ear "message me" and winks as he hands you a piece of paper with his number on.

As Duke goes to walk out the door, he turns around and hears your parents say to you "y/n can you come help now? And don't just get in the way like always!" You roll your eyes once again but then you hear Dukes voice again. "Debby, Ryan, if it's easier for you then I could take y/n back to my apartment so you can get things done without her getting in the way". Your eyes light up at just the thought of getting to hang out with Duke Depp and you run to your parents and without Duke seeing, you beg your parents to let you. They look at each other and then your dad finally says "yes that's fine. If you're mum says yes" you look at your mum and do the cute puppy eyes and after what feels like forever she sighs and says yes. You jump up in celebration and run back out to Duke and practically shout "Come on, let's go!". He chuckles at you and you both starts walking towards the elevator.
