Shane didn't know what to think about the man, all Shane knew was the man who protected him was new. Shane knows faces, not names, and he's sure he would remember that face if he saw it; infact it's all he can think about at this moment. As of right now, he's determined to talk to this man, because this man is across the room from him right now. The mystery man didn't introduce himself, no name no background, even when he showed up new in the middle of a semester.

Shane did catch on to some things about the man, he didn't like rules, and he didn't like school, and he didn't like people staring at him. What he did like though, was the color black. Shane contemplates talking to the mystery man the whole hour, and it was only when the bell rang that he noticed he was staring at the man. The man was the first out of the room, Shane being left to pout at his absent mind.

As walking out, he heard the occasional slurs, and the normal abuse, the shoving, and trying to trip Shane, but he was used to it. He felt as if he deserved it. But there was only 2 people that thought differently. Gill at his side, flipping off the people who threw slurs their way and tried to assault them. She wasn't scared of anyone, absolutely no one; in-fact it's often the other way around. If she could break a 40 year old mans nose, and hospitalize him for a day, she feels as if she could at least handle some stupid horny teenagers. Shane was eternally grateful for her braveness.

They walk along the old rusty brick corridors, framed by students and lockers. Each locker has the personality for the person owning it, and each person has a different style that always seems to be similar. The main teens who stood out in this school were the gay trio, the new student who had gotten into a fight on his first and second day, and Ein along with his jock gang. Jason is friends with Ein, and when Shane made his mistake, the whole football team turned to hate the person they used to hang out with all the time. Ein is a snotty rich kid as well, along with Jacklyn and her brother Dustin. So, the only rich kids in the school were a pare of twins, a football jockey, a gay Emo boy, and a Emo butch lesbian. And to everyone else, only 2 of the 4 were the normal people.

The schools proud and joy, the football team, would abuse Shane's richness when he was "friends" with them. He learned after that they were abusing his naiveness for the sake of his mansion, but that friendship with Jason always seemed real, Shane felt it was real. It had to be, that was everything to Shane.

He remembers the moments they shared, and the smile Jason held, that was real. There was something there, what confirmed it was that kiss at the party. The kiss, his first kiss, with someone he believed he loved. That kiss ruined everything, and he blames himself.

So, whenever Jason, the person he thought he loved, beats him, he tells himself he deserves it. He doesn't bother fighting back, like now, when he sees the glint in Jason's eyes, the anger; he makes himself believe he deserves the hits. And apparently the new student doesn't like it, because the new student pulls Jason away. The irrelevant students watch and film, as the new student, the nameless student, the mystery student, punch's the second person you don't fuck with in Rale-High.

Shane noticed that even when others watched, one person stepped in to stop the new kid from going to far, he was there the last time too. Shane wonders why these two always show up. The next people who show up are his two best friends, who pull him away from the fight. He fights against their pull, his encouragement is talking to the man who's been stepping in, but fails.

The new student stopped after a few small hits, and walks away without a word. He thought they were small, he could've done more to this student, but he didn't want to get sued or kicked out of school. The others in the corridor watch as he steps away, they clear a path, and see one person being brave enough to follow. The thoughts running through their heads is the new kid has to be the new strongest in the high school. Also that this school needs some security cameras.

At lunch, the new kid is the major talk in the M.A.L.L. for the fight, also that he's nameless, but dangerous. They start calling him Ein 2.0, and Ein himself takes that as a threat, the mystery student just rolls his eyes and keeps going though his day with the one person he knows at his side.

That's what it appears like to everyone else, like this new kid doesn't care, but they don't know he cares a lot. Zane knows how to cover it up as if it's just a normal thing for him, but fighting hasn't been his normal in 3 months, and he wanted to keep that streak going. Even the one person he knows in Hell-High is upset about him falling back into his fighting, after all, he also has to help with the aftermath at home.

So, while he looks like a book that needs to be opened, and that's partially true, he's also a different book than you expected him to be when you open him. He's more than just a mystery, and he doesn't want people to know that, so he'll keep silent when he fights, and he'll keep silent in class, because he doesn't want people to know his past.
