"Are you sure? I could take you the full way?"
"No, it's okay really. I'll be spending the night at my aunts."
"Let me take you to your aunts, so I know you're safe. Please, I dragged you to not the safest neighborhood, it's only right I get you out of here safely. I'd never forgive myself is something happened to you."
"Alright," the Emo laughs and sits up in the bed of the truck. He looks at his watch and sees it's 10:30, yet he's already so tired.
More and more people have piled in, the skate park being littered with teenagers that are either drunk, high, and completely sober but drunk in happiness. There's not a single bad vibe of the night.
Zane sits up and stretches his back muscles he leans against his date and pulls him into his lap. The emo laughs and nuzzles into the hold.
"I'm used to parties with people fighting and causing trouble. But everyone here is so tame."
"All of us have some bad past. All of these guys I know from the city, my city gang. We weren't always so close. Everyone had their own terfs, I've had a fair share of fights with others terfs before, but we got close. I don't know how it happened, but I became their leader. They liked how I protected them. Our terfs came together, and we started recruiting more outcast like us. All of these people weren't ever like to before, until they were showed a little bit of hope. In the city terfs, you only have your terf. You can't rely on anyone else. They started relying on me, and I started relying on them. That's how we came to be. Not only from the city, but also from small towns, anyone and everyone that was deemed an outcast, a freak, a loser, or weird, we shelter them until they can stand for their own and protect others. That's how we roll. That's why there's no fights breaking out, and no drama. Everyone here protects everyone else. We are all we have."
"So, you're a bad boy with a soft heart," Shane leans against his date.
"Yeah, I guess. Are you tired? You really seem like your about to fall sleep."
"I am a little. But I'm also so happy."
"What about your friends, how are they getting back?"
"Sammy lives close to here, Gill stays the night with her a lot."
"Will they be alright by themselves?"
"Gills like you. She has a personal trainer that her parents don't know about. She's very frightening when she fights. Sammy has a hard time protecting herself, she always has, Gill never leaves her side and protects her. Kinda like how you've been protecting me."
"Hmm. Why can't her parents know?"
"They wouldn't approve, they are like my parents. Conservative. The whole "girls need to be lady like and boys need to be masculine and muscular, the men need to be the protectors of woman" all that's bullshit."
"Ahh, those types of parents."
"Yeah, not very fun, huh?"
"Definitely not," Zane picks up Shane and scoots him off of his lap. He slides out of the truck and stands between Shane's legs. "Did you at least enjoy tonight?"
"I did," the emo scoots forward and wraps his legs around the bad boys body. "I really did," he reached forward and grabs his shoulder.
Zane's hands grab the emos hips and pulls him forward into a kiss.
"Get a room," a drunk Ethan yells from the cooler. Without hesitation Zane flips him off, all without breaking the kiss. "Asshole," Zane breaks the kiss and looks over to see his best friend cracking open a new bottle. "Go Make out somewhere else."
