Thanks to everyone who reads the book, and for the great support! It means a lot to me!I'm still a little bit out of practice (*Ignore the fact that I've been never good at it*), but I'll keep going! I think next time I'm going to update "U'll be the demon king" - but I'm not sure yet.
Stay healthy!

Days have passed, and Meliodas still didn't feel better. He felt energy gone. The funny thing is that he definitely sleeps more than usual. But he likes it, because he can catch up on the sleep he hasn't really gotten in the last 3000 years. He used to have nightmares, but now it's nothing. Pure emptiness. After thousands of years there were no more flashbacks to the deaths of his beloved.
No voices or inner demons shouting at him and impressing on him that it's all his fault and that he should end himself. Well, not that he hasn't tried it many times before. When the blonde guy thinks about it that way, he is actually doing fine.
He also remembers having smaller phases of this every now and then, but is it really just a phase this time?
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><<><>It was a warm sunny day, Meliodas knew that he finally had to get up. For as before he did not want the others to worry about him. That would be the last thing he wants to do.
He sat up, removed the sand from his eyes, stretched himself once quite long, with a pair of bones cracking from him. He turned his head to his left and noticed Elizabeth still sleeping peacefully. He watched her closely. Every breath she took. Meliodas also noticed the small saber on her pillow. He felt a small mouth twitch, but before it became a smile, it disappeared as quickly as it came.
He looked at the princess's mouth, came closer and closer with his own, almost touching her, but only a little distance away he stopped.
Meliodas pulled his head back and shook it twice, his hair flying around as well and landing so that the shadow covered his eyes."I'm sorry Elizabeth, I tried everything" he spoke to her, even though he knew she didn't hear it.
He got up, did his usual morning routine of brushing his teeth, getting dressed, and making his side of the bed included. Normally, hair styling would be there as well, but he never felt like it.
After the young man had done everything, he walked toward the door, took one last look at Elizabeth, who was still sleeping peacefully in the same position as before. And finally went outside.
Meliodas was inundated with the fantastic smell of food coming from the kitchen. He took a sniffer and realized that it smelled like fried bacon. Actually he doesn't want to eat anything, but he has to do it to survive for the others.
When he arrived downstairs, everyone was already downstairs, well everyone except Elizabeth, who is still in bed dreaming of a trip to the sea with the man she is secretly in love with.
Surprisingly, she has never been to the sea before, but it was always her wish.<dream>
"Meliii!" A young silver-haired girl screamed and waved in a cornfield, and walked towards a blond not much bigger boy sitting in the field with a straw in his mouth.
The man turned around and smiled
"Yo! Elizabeth! Naah, what's up?"Elizabeth hugged him tight
"I caught soooooo big fish!!" she smiled and was very proud of herself, as was Meliodas. She imitated the size with her hands, whereby she certainly exaggerated a little."Wooah, so big? That's awesome Ellie!"
In response she hummed "mhm!" And her smile became even bigger
He had a funny thought "Do you want me to cook it for you?" he giggled because he already had her answer in his head. And indeed, she made exactly the same face as a reflection in his head.
Because she turned all green, and shook her head hastily. When she had recovered from that quite quickly she offered to cook it for him, but then she got only one answer "You can't cook as well!"
Ellie began to sulk "That's not true at all! No no! I'm a master chef," she was so convinced of herself that she ran away to prepare the dish to prove it.
When she ran away she only heard a voice that was hard to hear from a distance, but it contained words like "Where - You" so she summarized what also fits with this situation and a sentence came out that said "Where are you running to!"
She just smiled, ignored it and kept running towards the shore.
When little Elizabeth arrived, she prepared everything, took the 30 cm(≈ 11,8 zoll) big fish, which is huge by her standards, laid it on a board and decapitated it, head off, rinds out, and off to the pan where butter had already melted, a little spice and tada - a good-looking dish. She was thinking about making potatoes, but decided against it when she remembered that the harvest was not quite ready.
Right on time Meliodas walked in the door and took the taste that landed on his tongue from the aromas that were flying around in the air.
"Woah, that smells good!" He was very convinced of it, and never thought that she had already made such progress.
"Heh! Let's try it!" she was so excited and curious about the taste that she jumped around wildly like a kangaroo.
The two of them set the table and sat down opposite each other. They shovelled a small pile on the fork and into the mouth. Meli didn't seem disgusted and even took one more piece, maybe he's already hardened from his cooking skills, because Elizabeth turned extremely green, even more than when Meliodas mentioned his eating. She wanted to puke.
<><><><>
"Baahh!" Elizabeth gasped as she leaned on the bed, trying to wash the taste off with a glass of water standing next to her bed, but it was gone before she could even touch the cup. For a moment she looked confused until she got to the point where she realized it was just another one of those crazy dreams. She decided to lie down a little longer and hoped not to have this dream again.
Little did she know that this was a past of over 1500 years, and not a dream.
