Chapter 20 Part I

" I think we have Rico's location. Micheal was not lying."

Hearing those words was like finding water in the middle of a scorching desert. My entire body filled with so much relief that it left me breathless for a little while.

" Alpha, Jake found the place where Rico has been keeping Ramsey hostage. He said that he will be scouring the place and will soon get back to us with more information. We did it, we found the place", said Phillip sounding as relieved as I felt. He was smiling wide and I couldn't help but mirror his smile.

The relief and happiness were short-lived as the voice my head soon made be aware of the fact that though it was a step in the right direction, that's all it was, a step. We still have miles to go. We don't have the time to bask in this small success of ours as we needed to already think of what we are going to do next.

" Yes, we did it, we found his hideout but now we have to plan. We need to determine our future course of action. Phillip, get the army ready. Meanwhile, I contact Lucas and Charles and let them know that they need to gather their soldiers, every single one of them and only once its time to leave their packs, let them know about the mission they are headed for. But before they do that to make sure they confiscate all their mobile phones and check them for any trackers and stuff they might have on them. I don't want to take any chances. They can give everyone a fair chance to back out of the mission but all those people will stay in custody until we are done with the attack", I said, my mind already running a mile a minute. I wanted to be as cautious as we can be so we prevent being detected even before we have a chance to get anywhere near Rico's hideout.

" Phillip, you go ahead and do the same for our soldiers. I know we were not able to train them as much as we would have liked but it's now or never. And also goes for our soldiers that if after knowing about the mission, any one of them wants to leave and not accompany us then take them into custody. Come what may, word about this attack should not spread beyond the people who are absolutely required to know about it"

" Alpha, what if we don't tell the soldiers about our plan at all. They will follow their Alphas even if they don't know what the ultimate objective is. Won't that make everything a little safer and easier?", Philip suggested and I knew that he was right about the convenience factor but there were other major things at play here.

" No, they need to know who they are going to be fighting against. I need that fire of hatred to burn so brightly inside them that our one soldier is equivalent to ten of Rico's in the battlefield. They need to know about the monster they are going against, every one of his vile deeds that he has ruthlessly committed in all these years", I gritted out and I knew that my eyes had turned yellow, my wolf making it's presence known.

" Okay so I will get a move on", said Phillip intending to leave the room and get the show on the road as soon as possible.

" Take dad along with you to round off all the soldiers. All these werewolves in a confined space won't be easy to deal with. Also, before you leave I want to know the status of all the moles we have traced so far. So, are all the moles who have been named up until now, are all under custody, right? There can be more of them so we need to be extremely careful", I said interrupting his departure.

" Yes, all the moles from our pack has been taken into custody and are still being questioned but its as if none of them knows anything. They were just told to deliver any important information they may come across relating to the packs to Mr Michael who in turn communicated it to Rico. Their motive...", Phillip stuttered not completing his sentence.

" Is to eliminate me as the Alpha of the pack. Don't worry I am already well aware and I don't care what those pathetic people think, because I know that I am very much capable to be this pack's Alpha and I will do anything to keep it safe and away from Rico's clutches. Anyways, what about Lucas's and Charles's pack?"
