Dean's POV

"Dean! Come on Dean, get up. Its time for school. You have to give me a ride, and we have to pick up Jo and Ash." Sam nudged on Dean's arm.

"What time is it?" Dean asked.

"Seven thirty." Sam squeaked impatiently.

"Well, give me ten more minutes."

"But Jo and Ash!" Sam exclaimed.

"I'm aware, but they live on either side of us." Dean replied, pulling the rough quilt over his head. "So ten minutes." Sam groaned, but let up. Dean swaddled himself in the blankets humming softly to himself.

The ten minutes passed too quickly.

By seven-forty-six, Dean was awake, dressed, hair fixed, and in the Impala waiting for Jo to hurry her shit up and leave her fucking house already. Sam was antsy in the backseat, and squabbling with Ash who was sitting next to him. Dean honked the horn again, and Jo left the house, blonde hair stick straight despite the howling cold wind.

"How does she do that?" Ash wondered aloud, his voice affectionate. Dean rolled his eyes, praying that Ash would finally grow the balls to actually ask Jo out rather than just pine over her.

She opened the door and climbed in. She wore a smug smirk and glanced over at Dean. "What took you so long?" He asked briskly.

"Just making a few calls." She answered shrugging.

Dean shook his head, and started driving, dropping his little brother off at the middle school first before heading to the high school. They pulled up in the sophomore parking lot and got out, Lisa and Bella were already waiting for them.

The group of three approached the pair of girls and Lisa giggled when she saw Dean, Bella cackled, too, but she hit Lisa's arm to quiet her. Dean raised an eyebrow and turned to glance at Jo and Ash, but found Jo whispering something in Ash's ear. Both were struggling not to laugh, so Dean tromped through the group and into the building.

Gordon Walker was standing just inside the door and called out to Dean as he walked in. "Hey fag, where's your boyfriend?"

"What?" Dean questioned, he raised his brows, and pulled up his shoulders to look, at least, slightly intimidating.

"You know, Winchester, your fuck buddy. Upperclassman. Black hair. Nerd. Total jag-off."

"Excuse me?" Dean huffed, even though he didn't know what the actual hell Gordon was talking about, he still felt kind of defensive.

"Don't play dumb, Dean. Everybody knows you and that Castiel guy are a couple cock sucking faggo--"

"Pardon the intrusion, but I do believe you have cornered the wrong individual." A deep vibrating voice said casually. Dean looked behind Gordon to see a guy with dark black hair and bright blue eyes standing just out of eyesight. Gordon turned to look at the teenager who stood a little ways over him.

"Speak of the devil, here's your fag now." Gordon said, but his voice had lost an edge. In fact, he seemed kind of scared. And this was made incredibly clear when he hurried away quickly.

The guy shook his head and rubbed a hand over his face. "I'm sorry about that, Dean, but for some reason, people seem to believe we are a couple." The boy told Dean slowly. He held his hand out to the freckled sophomore, and Dean accepted it cautiously. "I'm Castiel Novak," The guy said, "your alleged boyfriend."

Dean felt his eyes widen. "Um, sorry, dude, I'm not--"

"I didn't say that you were. And I didn't say I was. But everyone seems to think it." He explained.

"W-why would they think something like that?" Dean stammered. Castiel shrugged one shoulder and stuffed his hands in his pockets, pinning the gray leather satchel down to his side. "Somebody had to have told them." He sent a look to the older boy.

Castiel nodded for a moment before his brows shot up in slight rage. "You think that I spread this around?" He actually sounded a little hurt.

"Well, I sure as hell didn't." Dean bit back defensively.

"So that means I did?" Castiel fought. The tips of his ears and his cheeks were growing pink, and he seemed very angry at what Dean thought was a fairly reasonable accusation.

"I'm just saying--"

"Look, Dean, you're kind of cute - in a little brother kind of way - and I'm sure you've got a great personality and everything, but don't flatter yourself. If I was going to go gay for someone, it wouldn't be you. I'm just as concerned about this rumor as you are, maybe even more. So don't go around assuming things about people you know nothing about." Castiel jabbed a slender finger at Dean and glared down at him. "I don't accusse you of things, I'd like you to extend me the same courtesy." Castiel straightened up and cleared his throat. "If you'll excuse me." He said and stormed away.

That was hot. Wait, what?

Dean frowned as he watched Jo and Ash make their way to the usual table. He felt his eyes searching for Castiel, involuntarily. Jo waved Dean over, giving him a puzzling look. But soon, his eyes found Cas and he was rushing over. In a few quick seconds, Dean Winchester was stood in front of the large table of seniors. Castiel looked up at him first, eyes opening wide.

"So then I-- who the hell are you?" A loud and overly threatening girl asked. Her hair was black and curled slightly, her face round, but severe.

"I'm, uh... I'm Dean Wi--"

"We all know who you are. Meg was just being a dildo." A ginger haired girl said happily. Castiel glanced over at her, and rolled his lagoon blue eyes.

"I came over to apologize to you, Cas. I was a jerk this morning." Dean scratched his head. "I mean, I was rude, and assuming things. And, uh, I just-- sorry."

"It's okay, Dean. But I don't think coming over here was the best idea to get us out of this situation." The man of the moment finally said, looking back into Dean's wide green eyes.

The girl from before, Meg, snorted, "Get out of here, kid." Dean frowned, and looked at Castiel for help.

"Yes, Dean. Maybe it would be best if you left." He said numbly, toying with his bottom lip.

Dean sighed bitterly under his breath. "Yeah, I'll, uh, see you around." He agreed, turning on his heel and heading towards the table his friends were at.

"You didn't have to be a bitch," Castiel whispered, throwing a plastic fork at Meg.

"Yeah, if I didn't know any better, I'd think you were jealous." The other girl from before jested.

Dean smiled as he made his way towards his friends.

A/N: I really didn't mean to make Cas sound like Sebastian Michaelis in his very first scene. I just had finished watching Black Butler, and Bassie's silky voice sticks with you for days.

Sorry.

That was weird.

Byee!

<3 Ash
