Suzie pushed Jeremy off of her with all of her might. Since Suzie wasn’t that strong, she didn’t push him very far and he smirked at her. She quickly pushed again but made no difference at all. She would’ve done farther but he willing separated after she pushed him.
“Get away from me!” She looked disgusted for a moment but quickly fixed her visor. “Just stay away from me.” She quickly turned to leave and when she was gone, she watched the other boys play baseball.
They were good and Suzie realized that all of them were better than her. The pitcher was super fast but his throws were mainly balls, which concerned her. She grinned foolishly and looked for another partner to team with. When she couldn’t find one, she resulted in practicing her throws, swings, and bouncing the balls off the wall.
When they all went on break, the boys went in the dugout with their drinks and gum. So, when Suzie attempted to enter it was hard to see that the guys wouldn’t invite her in. She rolled her eyes and sat in the nearby grass, but she could hear what they were talking about.
Mostly about girls and some snide comment about her were thrown in. But she always heard some disagreement with them. There were three boys that kept sticking up for her, but two of them were naturally nice.
Jeremy. Although Suzie thought he was cute, she didn’t want to risk losing Crystal. She didn’t mind that he was sticking up for her, but she new he was only doing it so that he could pest her into going out with her.
John. John was Joy’s best friend and it was no secret that she liked him. He was naturally a nice guy but he hasn’t tried to get into contact with Joy because if he had, they would be hand in hand.
The last person was Nino. He wasn’t the nicest person in the world and if he gave you a compliment, you better accept it. He was constantly known for being a heartbreaker but he didn’t go out with many girls.
He had some sort of spunk to him. Most of the girls thought he was ugly, but they wouldn’t miss a chance if he asked any of them out. The only reason Suzie liked him was because one time they were lab partners.
He’s not known for being smart, but he isn’t completely dumb. In class, Suzie was horrified when she was assigned to deal with him because she expected that she had to do all of the work. Instead, he helped her with everything and did a little more. He gave Suzie some credit for things she didn’t do and he did the oral report.
In the middle of the lab, they began to talk since they couldn’t figure out what they needed. Since there was only one teacher, they had to put up a flag and he would answer them by order. They were number ten.
They knew that they had some time to kill, so they just randomly started talking about things. At first, it started out like everything was either prying into the other persons life or a desperate secret that they needed to get out but eventually, they had become closer.
Ever since then, Suzie had a crush on him.
The only reason he was sticking up for her, was because he spoke what he thought. If he didn’t think Suzie would make it, he would tell her.
Suzie quickly smiled and looked to see if anybody texted her. When she hadn’t, she got up and asserted herself in the dugout. None of them complained once she told them no and they were pretty fine with her as long as she wasn’t passive about it.

“Hey, Suzie!” Suzie looked behind her and waited for Jeremy to catch up with her. “Are you still riding with me?”“I have to.” She gave him a dirty face but kept trudging up the hill with him. “There’s no cell service and I didn’t give any of the girls a heads up.”
