Chapter 7

Ash and Serena were currently in the forest.

"How do I get it to open?" asked Ash to himself, looking at GS ball. He was currently sitting with his back against the trunk of a tree. Serena's showcase was only a week away.

"Hey Ash, how was my performance?" asked Serena.

"Huh? Oh sorry, wasn't paying attention," said Ash.

"Ash! Please, this is important for me," said Serena, pouting.

"I know. Sorry," said Ash, sweat-dropping.

"Okay let's do it again," said Serena, and she started to perform again.

"Wow!" whispered Ash, dumbfounded.

"So, how was it?" asked Serena.

"It was... really, really, beautiful..." said Ash.

"Thanks, Ash," said Serena smiling, with a pink tinge on her cheeks.

"Serena," said Ash, as he stood up and scooped her.

"Ash!" she yelped in surprise.

"What?" asked Ash with a smirk.

All of a sudden, a fire blast came flying towards them. Ash put Serena down and they both quickly jumped out of its way.

Calem was in Kanto, standing in front of a steep hill.

"Where was it?" asked Calem to himself. He then saw the lever and pulled it.

A small rock that looked as if it was a part of the hill moved and Calem went in.

After walking for a few minutes, he found himself in front of a thick metal door.

"Did this exist?" he said to himself. He saw a panel and pushed the pin he used for Interpol.

"Welcome. State your purpose," came on the screen.

"Override code 12 beta 616," said Calem.

"Welcome Calem Yvonne," came on the screen as the door opened.

"Now this is the Cerulean cave I remember," said Calem as he took in the view. This used to be a normal cave with the clone pokemon who had come here with Mewtwo, but now it was a blend of nature and technology.

Hidden from the normal world, this base once functioned as Steve's base of operations and only Calem and Steve knew about this base.

"Hello, Calem. Mewtwo and Lucario are currently out of the base. Do you need any help?" asked the A.I.

"No Amber, it's fine. I wanted to meet them," said Calem.

Amber was the highly sophisticated A.I., made by Steve, Colress, and Mewtwo. She was named after Fuji's dead daughter Ember. She was stored in over 1500 Petabytes and had taken Steve, Mewtwo, Colress and a team of 100 people over two years and 10000 hours of work to complete it.

"Hey Amber, what are they doing right now?" asked Calem.

"They are currently pursuing a group of level 3 team Rocket members," said Amber.

"Level 5?" asked Calem.

"Mewtwo and Lucario have classified Team Rocket and other team's members in five levels, with level 1 being the leader, level 2 being the scientists, level 3 being the commander, level 4 being the members with information about the missions and level 5 being the lowest in the chain of command," said Amber.
