"He is the champion now," said Misty.

"Well, it was bound to happen," said Dawn.

"Ash has gotten stronger," said May.

"He must have trained really hard," said Clemont.

"He must have cooked some delicious strategy," said Cilan.

"Guess he is not a little kid anymore," said Iris.

"HE SHOULD GET A GIRLFRIEND!" yelled Brock, at which everyone sweat-dropped.

"Champ's pretty strong," said Gladion.

"... And dense," said Kiawe.

At this, Brock, Gladion, and Gary started laughing.

"What's so funny?" asked Misty.

"He was never dense," said Gary, trying to control his laughter.

"WHAT!" every girl exclaimed.

"He acted like that so no girl would try to get in a relationship with him," said Gladion.

"That's a big reveal," said Dawn.

"Yeah, we all initially had a crush on him, but we gave up as we thought it was worthless, he wouldn't know," said Misty.

"Well, on the bright side, Serena got no competition," said Calem.

"Wait a minute," said Dawn, as everyone smirked.

"No! It is not like that," said Serena.

"Oh really? I saw the way you were looking at Ash. And he too was looking at you," said Calem.

"Wait how do you both know him?" asked Iris.

"Well, we met at the summer camp," said Serena, as she told them the story.

"Wait a minute! You are his Serry Berry," said Gary.

Everyone snickered as Serena blushed.

"What do you mean by 'his,'" asked Serena.

"Well you never allowed anyone else to call you that," said Gary.

"True," said Calem.

"I still remember how depressed Ash was when you left. He didn't eat properly for a week and it took months for him to return to his normal cheerful self," said Gary.

"Trainers, choose your first pokemon," said the referee.

"Darkrai, you are up." "Sceptile I choose you."

"Like the league, huh," said Tobias.

"Yeah, but now we are much stronger," said Ash.

"We will see that," said Tobias.

"Sceptile leaf blade."

"Dark pulse."

"Use quick attack to dodge."

"Ominous Wind."

"Leaf storm."

Both attacks collided kicking up a dust cloud.

"Agility."

"Dark Void."

Ash smirked.

The dark void hit sceptile bu did nothing.

"Now, X scissor."

"What!" said Tobias, as the sceptile in front of him disappeared and a sceptile from above came and hit Darkrai.
