Chapter 13

"Mom, I am home," said Serena entering her house.

"Serena! I didn't expect you today," said Grace as she came.

"And you brought gues... WAIT A MINUTE! Is it Ash?" asked Grace, shocked.

"Hello, Mrs. Yvonne. Mom misses you," said Ash as he offered her a handshake.

"No need for formalities, you can call me Grace Ash. So you and Serena finally met," she said.

"Yeah, actually I am in Kalos high and share my dorm with her," said Ash.

"Oh really!" said Grace.

"And he will soon be sharing her bed," said Calem.

"Shut up Calem!" said Serena as Riley and Grace laughed.

"Jokes aside, they are in a relationship," said Calem.

"Yeah, we are," accepted Serena.

"Soooo cool! Though that means Delia won our wager," said Grace.

"Wager?" asked Ash.

"Oh, we made a bet if you both will end up together. I said as we were moving to Kalos, it was highly unlikely," said Grace.

"So why don't we call her?" said Serena.

"Yeah, I need to tell her about this," said Ash.

"But first, Serena have you told him?" asked Grace.

"If you are talking about her psychic type aura, yes. I am a fighting and water type aura guardian myself, so it's no problem and I am gonna train her," said Ash.

"WOW!" said Grace.

"Yeah, I trained on top of mount Silver and my complex training will start when I am ready. At least that's what Riley says," said Ash pointing on Riley.

"Oh. So you are gonna train Serena. That's very kind of you," said Grace smiling.

"Thanks, but it's all because of that letter," said Ash.

"Which letter?" asked Grace, as Ash told everyone how and why he went to train on Mount Silver.

"Why did you trust a random letter?" asked Grace.

"Well, I told him to. I picked up the aura of the person who had sent it," said Riley, as he panicked from inside.

"Oh so you have that kind of power too," said Grace.

Riley had actually made that up as he didn't want anyone else to know that Lawrence was alive. They would only question about his whereabouts which neither Ash nor Riley knew.

After that, they talked about random things.

"So Ash, what are you planning to do now that you are a champion," asked Grace.

"Three and a half years ago, I made a promise to Leon that I will meet him in the finals of world championships, but couldn't. I explained everything I just told you and said I will try again. Now is the chance. I am gonna take part in Champion's league, which happens once every six years and only champions and their elite four can take part in it. I am gonna meet him there in about 8 months," said Ash with a determination which surprised everyone except Serena.

"Dude! Control, we are not on a battlefield," said Riley.

"Sorry, I just got excited about battling Leon again. This time Pikachu is gonna beat his G-Max Charizard," said Ash.

"B... but... but you need a Dynamax band to be able to come even close to it," said Calem.

Ash put his hand in his pocket and took out his Dynamax band.

"My Pikachu can gigantamax," said Ash.

"Whoa! Where did you get it?" asked Riley.

"Leon gave it to me," said Ash.

"WHAT! A champion gave a Dynamax band to you to battle him when you weren't even qualified to battle him!" gasped Calem.

"Yeah. So what? My sceptilite was given to me by Steven," said Ash.

"WHAT!" gasped Riley.

"Yeah," said Ash.

"Oh he must have given it to you because you saved the world," said Riley.

"Maybe," said Ash.

"Okay, what are you talking about?" asked Grace.

Riley then told her how Ash had saved the world many times.

"Wow! You are as adventurous as Serena's father," said Grace.

"Who was he?" asked Ash.

"Well, his name was Zay Yvonne. He was a fire type and psychic type aura wielder," said Grace.

"Who defeated an army of ultra beast controlled by Madame boss killing her but dying in the process," said Ash as his eyes widened.

"He was with dad in the army," said Ash.

"How do you know?" asked Grace.

"I saw him in the photo with dad and asked Riley to give me his file. I didn't know he was Serena's father," said Ash.

They then talked about aura and other things.

"Hey, it's getting late. I think we should go," said Riley.

"Okay. Ash, tomorrow me and Riley will pick you up in the morning," said Calem.

"You all can stay here. I am sure Ash and Serena can sleep in Serena's room as you both occupy the guest room," said Grace.

"Are you sure. We don't wanna trouble you," said Riley.

"Yeah Grace," said Calem.

"Oh it's okay," said Grace.

Ash then went to the phone and called his Mom.

"Hi, Ash. How are you?" asked his mom cheerfully.

"I am fine, mom. And I got a girlfriend too," said Ash with a grin.

"Okay so where is Serena?" asked Ash's mom, which shocked everyone in the room.

"How did you know!" asked Ash surprised.

"Well, I knew how much you loved her, and knowing your father you won't move on without closure," said Delia.

"Okay. So here is Serena and her mom," said Ash.

"Grace! Hi, how are you?" asked Delia.

"Oh, I am fine. How are you?" asked Grace.

"Fine. BTW I won our wager," said Delia.

"I couldn't be happier at my loss," said Grace.

"Serena, you have become much more beautiful," said Delia.

"These were my first thoughts when I saw her," said Ash.

"Thanks," said Serena blushing.

After that, both parents talked to each other over the call.

"I think we should tell them both that we are chasing some Pokemon hunters," said the person.

"yeah. They may be able to help us," said the blue aura pokemon.

"Yeah. We can't arrest them right now as we need to know what they're after. And at pursuit and espionage, no one's better than him," said the psychic type pokemon.

So my book crossed 1k reads(at the time I am writing, it's at 1.1k). Thank you all for so much support. This is my second book to go over 1k, and this went way faster than the other one. I had started this because after a period of time I was bored of only reading, so I didn't expect this kind of attention. Thank you all. At first I wasn't sure if I was gonna finish this book, but now I am determined to finish it.
