Chapter 8

Year 410 AD

The Roman emperor was sitting on the throne. Rome was being invaded by Barbarians, and it was suffering great losses.

"What is the status of the border guards?" asked the Emperor.

"The invasions have caused a lot of casualties, and the barbarians are entering the empire," said the Commander of the forces.

"What should we do?" he asked an advisor.

"Well..." he said as he took out his sword and killed the commander, and started walking towards the Emperor.

"What!" yelled the Emperor as he drew out his sword.

"Why?" he asked the advisor.

"Why? Because you Arceus-worshippers are in our way," said the advisor, as they both started dueling.

"Guards!" yelled the Emperor but no one came.

"You sent them away my king," he said with a smirk, as he caught the Emperor off-guard and put his sword through Emperor's chest.

"Y... you wi... will be executed," croaked the king.

"I don't think so, my lord. The stealer of the light will look after me," said the advisor as he took his sword and slid it through his guts. He coughed up some blood and then laid dead on the ground along with the king.

"Oh look, the great Calem Xavier is here," said Mewtwo.

"No need to rub it in Mewtwo. I need your help," said Calem.

"Really? Because I thought the Great Xavier doesn't take help useless pokemon," said Mewtwo.

"I am sorry, okay? Will you help me?" said Calem, irritated.

"You forgot to say please," said Mewtwo.

"Arg! Okay, please?" said Calem.

"Yeah, fine, we will help," said Mewtwo.

*A week later*

"Come on Goh, we need to move if we want to reach there before night," said Chloe.

Goh and Chloe were in the middle of a forest, proceeding towards Coumarine city.

"Why?" asked Goh.

"Why what?" asked Chloe.

"Why do we need to get there before the night?" asked Goh.

"I don't want to camp outside today," said Chloe.

"Come on, it's not that bad," said Goh.

"It is," said Chloe.

"I am tired," said Goh, panting.

"That's because you did nothing for the last six months. Think of this as an exercise," said Chloe.

"Fuck you," said Goh.

"Later," said Chloe as she kissed Goh's cheeks, leaving him flustered.

I have been in a relationship with you for more than three years, and I am still not used to you kissing me," said Goh.

"That's a good thing," said Chloe as she stuck her tongue out.

"Yeah," said Goh.
