Komarus pov

We were walking together in silence. We hadn't been attacked by any Monokumas in a while so we were taking it easy once we reached the bridge someone yelled at us.

"hey wait up!"

We turned around to see a boy in sporty clothes.

"hey do you have a bracelet like this?" he asked showing me his.

"yes!" I said showing him mine.

He grabbed my hand and cheered "oh thank goodness survivors! It's been so long since I've seen another face! I'm yuta asahina by the way"

Kokichi jumped in surprise. I guess this boy was one of the captives. "I'm komaru neagi"

"ko-mar-u ne-a-gi" he sounded out writing on his palm.

"what are you doing?" I asked.

"everyone knows that the best way to learn someone's name is to write it on your palm three times!" he explained.

"your just like your sister" kokichi sighed.

"you know hina? She's awesome isn't she?"

"yeah she's the best and I'm going to get you back safely to her" kokichi chuckled "now let's get moving across this bridge kiddos" we nodded and followed him across the bridge.

We reached the end of the bridge and descovered the it was cut off halfway.

"noo" I sobbed.

"Well we best turn back now" kokichi sighed.

"we have to go back? I don't want to" I sobbed.

"too bad there's no other way!" kokichi yelled in annoyance.

"there is one why" yuta piped up. He started doing stretches.

"what are you doing?" I asked

"I'm going to swim over to the other side to get you guys help" he said confidently.

"no way this is to risky" kokichi yelled grabbing his arm.

"sorry but I've already made up my mind. Don't worry I'll be super careful" he pulled out of kokichis grasp and began swimming. He was so fast! I cheered for him and really believed he could do it but then the bracelet exploded and yuta was no more.

I fell to my knees and kokichi kicked the ground in frustration.

"damnit! I knew something bad would happen! I should have stopped him" he turned to me "come on komaru we need to keep moving"

"no" I whispered.

"what!?"

"there's no point! No matter how much I run I'm going to get killed anyway so what's the point!"

He took a seat next to me "you know I said the same thing to your brother and do you know what he did"

"what?"

He stood up and smacked me across the face.

"oww!"

"he did that and told me that life is worth fighting for and you should never give up on it! I'll get you back to your brother but you gotta work with me ok!"

I smiled at him "thanks kokichi I needed that" I stood up "right let's get moving"

"that's what I like to hear" he grinned as we walked down the bridge together.
