Takas pov

Me and Leon carried the two boys that were still alive. The other two kids were sadly dead when we got to them and the red haired boy was bleeding out so we had to work fa-

"let go of us" the blue haired boy kicked me forcing me to drop him. "release my friend now!" he demanded.

"please listen to me your friend is bleeding out if we don't close his neck wound he's going to die" I tried to reason with him.

"how do I know you'll really save him" his voice sounded weak and scared.

I got on my knees and smiled at him "you have my word"

"ok but if he dies then I kill you both" he yelled.

"sounds fair" I chuckled. I turned to Leon "ok Leon you take care of him I'll stay out here with the other boy"

"will do!" Leon said as he headed into the abandoned hospital.

I sat next to the boy "my name is kiyotaka ishimaru what's yours?"

"I'm nagisia. I don't go by a last name cause I don't want to associate myself with my parents" he growled.

"sounds rough tell me more"

Nagisia sighed "my parents treated me like some kind of labrat, they constantly forced me to study and pushed me to my limit. I have to be perfect at all times. I can't afford to slip up not even once!" he was shaking.

I placed a hand on his shoulder "no ones perfect nagisia. It true that you should try as hard as you can and I do strongly believe in working to the best of your ability but messing up isn't always a bad thing. You can always improve on your mistakes and do better. That's what I think"

"I like the way you think kiyotaka" nagisa smiled.

"please just call me taka" I said

"ok taka" nagisa chuckled. I'm glad he's warming up to me.

"I hope Leon's doing ok with your friend"

Leon's pov

Oh shit this is so messed up! Luckily I have experience stitching up wounds since my cousin kanon would constantly hurt herself doing stupid shit to impress me but I've never stitched up a bleeding neck wound before. I hope everything goes well.

After some very tense and careful stitching I managed to close the wound. Now all I need is a blood transfer. I don't know what blood type he is though. I know I'll ask his friend!

I ran outside where taka was sitting with the other kid.

"is masaru ok?" he asked nervously.

"I've managed to stitch up the wound but he needs a blood transfer." I explained "do you know what blood type he is?"

"yeah he's type B" nagisa said.

"hey I'm that type too!" I yelled "I can give him my blood!"

"brilliant idea Leon" taka said clapping me on the back.

"your really going this far to save us? What kind of adults are you" nagisa asked.

"the good kind kid" taka said patting him on the head.

We went back to the room I put masaru in and I started a blood transfer. After a couple of hours he woke up looking panicked.

"easy kiddo it's ok your ok now but don't talk ok the wound on your neck will reopen if you do" I explained gently.

Masaru burst into tears at those words. I pulled him into a hug "I'm sorry buddy but it's going to be ok now. I promise I'll protest you. No one will ever hurt you again" he relaxed at my words. I wonder how much pain these kids have been through?

The other kid also started crying but taka was their to comfort him. I chuckled to myself. It really feels like we've become parents.
