Chapter 1: Mysteries and Problems

Zen?! This can't be real! You're...dead..." I said. Zen walked closer to me and put her hand on my shoulder. "Find the truth about your parents. Then come find me." She replied.

Zen slowly removed her hand from my shoulder. "I'll be waiting." She said as a bright light flashed. I closed my eyes so I wouldn't be blinded. When I looked again, Zen was gone.

I looked down at the bracelet on my wrist. I double-tapped the screen and the time appeared. Time's moving now, I thought.

I quickly ran back into the classroom and sat down. Thankfully, no one noticed. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get Zen off my mind.

Lunchtime finally came and, as usual, I sat with Marinette and my other friends. "Zueki? Are you okay? You seem a little off." Valerie asked. "It's nothing! I'm fine!" I said as I grabbed my hoodie from my backpack and put it on.

Alya suddenly went from happy to glaring at someone. "Don't look now. Lila's coming over here." She said as she continued to eat her salad. "Hey Adrien!" Lila said as she hugged Adrien, who was sitting next to me. "What do you want, Lila?" He asked.

"I'm not here for you, I'm here for Zueki," Lila said as she sat down next to me. I sighed. "What do you want?" I asked her as I opened my lunch box. Lila gently lifted my braid up. "The colors seem to be fading from your hair." She said.

I pulled my braid out of her hands. "I'm planning on re-coloring it tomorrow for your info." I said.

Lila gasped. "I was only asking you a question. But..." Lila said as she stood up. "Here's something for that snippy attitude of yours!" Lila said. As I turned around, I saw a pair of scissors come in contact with my hair. Lila had cut off my braid!

Lila stood up on the lunch table next to ours. "Anyone who messes with me ends up like her!" She said, pointing the scissors at me. My eyes teared up as I ran to the bathroom, clutching the braid in my hand. Alya and the others ran after me as Lila laughed.

"Zueki, come on out!" Marinette said as she knocked on the stall door. All I could do is sit there and cry. Valerie walked into the bathroom and slid my backpack and lunchbox under the door.

"Adrien says you should at least eat your lunch." She said, taking a few steps back from the door. I took a deep breath to calm myself down. "Guys, it's okay. I'm going to call Yuri to come and pick me up." I said, taking my phone out of my backpack.

I heard the others leave the bathroom as I clicked on Yuri's contact photo. With tears falling down my face, I called him.

Yuri: "Zueki, what's up?"
Zueki: "C-Can you come and get me?"
Yuri: "Oh no. What happened?"
Zueki: I was at lunch and Lila cut off my braid. Can you come get me?"
Yuri: "I'll be there in 5."
Zueki: "Thanks. See you then."

After I hung up the phone, I messaged Zoey and Zaynia. Turns out, they knew about Zen being alive. Well at least we thought she was alive. Zaynia thought Zen's spirit wasn't able to leave Earth for some reason. I wasn't sure. I didn't believe in all the "spirit" stuff.

Yuri texted me once he arrived. I packed all my stuff and pulled my hood over my head. I opened the stall door slowly. I ran out of the bathroom across the courtyard where Yuri was waiting outside the school.

Yuri saw how upset I was and immediately gave me a hug. "Let's go home. I'll call Yuzu and she'll help fix your hair." He said. I nodded as I hopped on his motorcycle.

Now that everyone in the cursed realm was free, things were back to normal. Yuto and Yuzu were finally back together and lived about a block away. Since Yuri is Yuto's brother, Yuto allowed him to stay for a little bit.
