After Caspian told them about how Lord Bern bought him and Edmund from the slave traders shortly their separation, saving them from the dungeons in the process, the friends must see to the situation the battle left behind. The Main Square is in chaos, dead and wounded people everywhere, cries of pain and defeated anger echoing between the streets. Lucy takes off with her healing cordial to help where she can and limit the damage. Rynelf accompanies the queen to watch her back. Drinian is occupied with seeing the slavers arrested, part of the crew assists the soldiers of the Lone Islands with escorting the scoundrels to the dungeons. There, they are to join Tacks and this Governor Gumpas in their cells. Caspian mentioned the now former governor was working with Pug and his men, ordering the soldiers to stay put. As soon as they had a plan, Caspian, Edmund, and Lord Bern surprised Gumpas in his office in the palace and mobilized the army to rush to the prisoners' aid here in the market. Now, Luna remains at the king's side, watching everything like a hawk. Edmund oversees things from the other side of the square and Eustace sits in the shadow of a building, glaring at everyone who comes near him.

A call alerts Luna to the market stalls where Reepicheep investigates. She makes sure Caspian has everything under control and joins her little friend. He rummages through a pile of debris that has once been a stall. Under all the wood and cloth, something blinks. Luna bends down to pull out a small dagger with an emblem on it.

» There are many weapons like this, « Reep explains,

» Over time, the slavers must have gathered a lot. « The Crown Shield nods, turning the dagger in her hands, studying the emblem. She hasn't seen it before. Maybe it's Calormene. There are various territories, and each has its own coat of arms. It's the same in Narnia, but she certainly would know those emblems.

» Eustace! « Reep calls out to the boy and waves him over. He rolls his eyes before making a show of getting up and sauntering over.

» Why don't you choose a weapon of your liking? « The mouse suggests,

» It would be a great start for- «

» No way! « Eustace exclaims, raising his hands in the air,

» I'm a pacifist. « What on earth is that supposed to mean? Luna hopes he isn't serious about this. He must learn to defend himself or there is no way they can take him on their next adventure. Reepicheep seems to think the same as the old friends exchange a glance. Then, Luna spots something else. With a small smile, she skips around the destroyed stall and moves some cloth to the side to reveal another weapon. It's her bow! She retrieves it, as well as the quiver with the white feathered arrows.

Meanwhile, Reep tries to explain to Eustace why it is important for him to choose a weapon. The mouse has Luna's respect for dealing with that after this tiring battle. She really has no energy for arguing with the queen and king's cousin. Instead, the warrior digs out Caspian's crossbow and searches for his sword. Rhindon belongs to the royal heirlooms, after all. A few soldiers join her to gather the weapons and stow them away safely in the palace's armoury.
