"Did you here that Adam?" Cindy asked as she rolled onto her side, stroking his chest as she spoke.

Adam tried to ignore her, he did not want his post-coital bliss interrupted.

"Adam," Cindy said again as she softly pushed her elbow into his side.

When he did not answer her again she straddled him and leant right into his face. "That was a pack call Adam, a call for help."

Adam stared back at her, placed both of his hands behind his head and shrugged. He pushed her to his side as he heard a loud knock on his door which then immediately opened, without his invitation. Adam turned and growled at the man standing there. He immediately bowed his head, completely intimidated by Adams glare and began to mumble an apology.

"Next time, do not enter unless you hear me say come in," Adam barked as he pulled on his trousers.

"Sorry Boss," the man stuttered out. "Did you not hear the howls?"

"I did," he replied. "I am ignoring them."

"Why?" the man asked.

Adam laughed; it was a laugh that made a chill creep down the man's spine. "Are you questioning me Marcus? No one was given permission to hunt alone, so they can deal with whatever situation they've gotten their selves into alone. "

Marcus shook his head and began to slowly back out of the room, "I am not questioning you, sorry boss," Marcus quickly said again.

"Where are you going?" Cindy asked Adam.

Adam did not answer her and when he finished dressing, he left the room without even saying goodbye. He knew exactly where he was heading. He was going to see for himself exactly what Jason Evans was up too, 'keep your friends close and your enemies closer' he thought to himself.

Splashing cold water on her face did not help calm her nerves, Rachael was angry; she was angry with herself and she was angry with him, she hated him. However she could not fight him, in fact if she was honest she did not even dare; he scared her. Even Winston's brother said he was like a loose cannon. She stared at her reflection in the bathroom mirror and as she rubbed the bite marks he had just left on her neck she sighed out loud.

"Dear Draugluin help me, please help me fight him."

A sarcastic huff caused Rachael to turn her head to see Jay standing there in the doorway, his arms folded; watching her.

"I don't think you are praying hard enough, sweet heart. Either that or little Draugh is not listening." Jay teased at her; it was a feeble attempt to make her feel better.

She never answered him and as she dried her face with a towel her heart began to quicken as Jay slowly walked towards her.

"Are you ready? He will be back soon and he wants to leave immediately. I think that phone call has made him a tad tetchy."

Rachael flinched as Jay reached out his hand and stroked her neck. He furrowed his brow as he looked at her then bit into his thumb and rubbed at the wounds Winston had made.

"The blood should help you heal quicker," he answered. He smiled down at her but he was angry, some of her wounds looked deep and he could sense she was in pain. He was actually surprised the attack bothered him so much, he certainly did not care about the humans in the cellar and Winston had physically hurt them far worse. However for some reason he did care about this particular attack on Rachael.

"I'm sorry he hit you." she whispered, "but thank you."

"Not to worry, it's not the first time we have gotten into a fight and it probably won't be the last."
