Mondstadt recently had their annual festival in the city. For a whole week, the city was bustling with joyous cheers, music and dance. Of course, the ever so popular tavern wasn't exempted from the fun.

Many men, guards and women visited the tavern day in and out; for the drinks or for the looks, it doesn't matter. Diluc was pretty much there the whole week as well, without returning to his Manor.

A week with little to no rest because of the high demand of his presence in the Angel's Share, he was glad to finally get to return to Dawn Winery and take a lengthy rest.

After a long walk from Mondstadt to his Manor, the building is finally within his sight. Nothing more relieving than this for Diluc, for this moment at least.

The workers greeted him as usual. The grapes are in great condition as usual. Everything is aligned to what he was used to. However... As he opened the door, a new face greeted him wearing the outfit his maids' uniform.

"Welcome home, Master Diluc." The 'girl' greeted him, bowing and letting 'her' long golden hair fall to the front.

Diluc recognizes 'her' voice as familiar but not enough to determine whose. If anything, it was a bit deep for a woman's voice but Diluc did not pay it a mind. Instead, he looked for the Head Housemaid, Adelinde.

As if on cue, she just left a room and saw Diluc. "Welcome home, Master Diluc." She greeted as the blonde set aside, still looking down.

"Adelinde, did we hire a new housemaid?" Diluc questioned, motioning to the blonde.

Adelinde followed his gaze and shook her head, "No, sir, we did not." She answered.

Diluc gave the blonde a curious gaze before turning to the Head Housemaid. "You can go now." He told her and she gave him a bow before leaving the hall.

After a bit of silence, he finally questioned the blonde. "Look at me and tell me your name." He demanded.

'She' slowly looks up to Diluc but 'her' gaze not meeting his. 'Her' face completely red as 'she' quietly answered.

"...It's me, Aether..." He answered as his face getting more and more red.

Diluc's eyes widened, "What." It wasn't a question anymore.

He doesn't know for sure if this is reality or he is just too tired that his mind is creating an illusion and that he is just hearing things.

But the laugh that echoed throughout the hall was enough for him to know it wasn't just an illusion. Venti, Paimon, and Lisa left the corner that they are hiding at. Venti is still laughing his life out meanwhile Paimon is resisting the urge to join in the laugh to avoid Diluc's further fury.
